Controlled shooting takes practice4 July 2010
Hi Frank,
I am making progress on shooting. I have got the roll problem down to about 45% of the time, from over 60%. My SRR [seven to rolls ratio where 1:6.0 equals a random game] varies from 6.3 to as high as 13.
Some interesting observations:
I am beginning to see repeating numbers, nice.
I seem to "cluster" my 7s so they don't hurt as bad when I am shooting.
Most promising to me is I see runs of 4~5 throws where 1 die will repeat, now if I can get both dice to repeat I am in fat city.
I am using pointer and 3rd finger on outside faces of dice and thumb-middle finger ft/rear...read moreHow to Bet Baseball3 July 2010 Baseball season is here and with it comes numerous opportunities to bet on your favorite team. Dear Frank:
I just learned how to play craps and think I will really like it but, I'm a little intimidated with the crowds at a real craps table. (Ooops, I forgot to tell you I learned the game via software). My husband and I usually visit the casinos in Tunica, Mississippi at least four times a year with a goal to learn how to play a new game every time...read moreTriple Crown Is Sporting World's Most Elusive Prize30 June 2010 The Belmont Stakes, the third jewel of the Triple Crown, put horse racing in the gambling spotlight once again on June 5, and justifiably so.

The last thing casino execs want is a game that intimidates players and keeps them from spending their money.
Nonetheless, there are games that leave the uninitiated a little leery, games that send them searching for a safe, no-strategy, no-intimidation refuge like the slots...read moreHow is the bonus spin on a Class II slot triggered?28 June 2010
I live very close to the Oklahoma border, so naturally my question
is concerning the Class II Bingo slot machine. I've played the
machines well enough to know that every time you spin, your bingo card
changes, so obviously your goal is to spin to a bingo card that has
matching numbers within the bingo game draw to win a pattern...read moreI would like to roll the best I can27 June 2010 Dear Frank:

Frank,
I've been playing craps for about a year and I just started
experimenting with the Don'ts, but I can't seem to gather any steam
with it...read moreYou're never too old to learn something new25 June 2010 Note: Normally I write about all things blackjack, but today I decided to share with you a tribute that I wrote about my father-in-law Peter and his adventures playing video poker.
The reason senior citizens often give me for not learning how to play video poker is that they are "too old." Well, I want to dispel this myth with a real-world example of how one senior citizen decided to learn video poker at 86 years of age, and how he benefited from that decision...read more |
