Whenever you are betting with multiple-colored chips, always put the highest denomination on the bottom and the lowest denomination on the top.

So if you are betting $131, the bet would be: one black chip ($100), one green chip ($25), one red chip ($5) and one white chip ($1).

Scobe's Quick Tip #86

At the craps tables there are certain things you never do. One of them is placing bets after the shooter has the dice in his hands.

Often dealers will actually call out "no more bets" in such a case but just as often they won't. A late bet is considered bad manners and, for the superstitious among the craps world, bad luck!
