Scobe's Quick Tip #37
Dealers are not allowed to take anything from players' hands, with the
exception of dice that have gone off the table and landed on the floor.
If you want to cash into a game, you must put your money on the felt.
The dealer will then take it from you and exchange it for chips.

Scobe's Quick Tip #38
There are two very important aspects to understanding your expectation
at casino games.
Most people only think in terms of the house edge, but the speed of the
game (or number of decisions per hour) is also important.
Some games are incredibly fast, such as mini-baccarat, and some games
are slow, such as pai gow poker. Sometimes a fast game with a low house
edge will lose you more than a slow game with a higher house edge.
