TUNICA — The rocky, pot-holed road of 2002, ran through Tunica like it
did for the rest of the country but like elsewhere, it was not all
uphill and some stretches were smooth, but still the road is one to
navigate with caution and the early outlook for the market in 2003,
ranges from flat to slightly improved.
Even though it was a very busy time of the year, we received responses
from every casino general manager in Tunica who voiced opinions and
predictions for this outlook 2003 roundup and we thank them for their
participation.
In general, while no great leap forward in revenue was foreseen, it was
the area of amenities that will come online this year that provides some
positive light at the end of the tunnel.
Gold Strike Casino Resort's general manager was the first to respond to
our request for a quote and he came right to the point.
