IGT has games with big, bright top boxes, with the wheel atop Wheel of
Fortune or the 3-D figures of Jed and Granny designed to draw attention
from across the casino.

luck...read moreIacta alea est!24 February 2003 Dear Mark,My buddy put $20 in a video poker machine, playing
$5 a hand to get the maximum payout. He lost the first three hands, but on
the fourth was dealt a natural royal flush. Number one, what are the odds
of a natural royal flush happening in video poker? Number two, what would
happen if he got nervous, and pressed the wrong button discarding all the
cards instead of standing? I suspect in that case he is out of luck, and
there is no payout...read moreJest For Fun24 February 2003

After scraping along on the bottom side of down for a while, it looks

Scobe's Quick Tip #12:
Blackjack basic strategy often calls for plays that don't seem right but
are right.
Here are some:
Double down on your Ace-7 against a dealer's 3, 4, 5, 6.
Split your 9s against a dealer's 8 and 9 but not against a dealer's 7.
Double Ace-8 against a dealer's 6 in single-deck blackjack.
You might not agree with these decisions but -- make them anyway because
the computer says to!

Hi.
What do you think of bonus game video poker machines like Triple
Trouble and Gold Mine?
I have had luck with the Triple Trouble when those little devils
come up often but noticed they are not full pay machines.
Also, on the Gold Mine video poker, where you get a bonus round if
you hit a full house, the full houses seem to come up more often than
in other video poker machines...read moreWorld Poker Open draws record number of hopefuls20 February 2003 Looking back on the very successful JACK BINION WORLD POKER OPEN,
co-sponsored by HORSESHOE CASINO & HOTEL and GOLD STRIKE CASINO RESORT,
one has only to count the numbers to realize how much this event has grown
during its four years of existence.
When it began, there was the usual optimism and the un-stated objective
of surpassing the WORLD SERIES OF POKER held in Las Vegas, the
tournament that set the standard at that time...read morePolitical Contribution Prohibition Results in Supplier License Denial19 February 2003 Two suppliers whose principal owners made the mistake of making political contributions to Michigan candidates after filing an initial application for a suppliers license were denied full supplier licenses by the Michigan Gaming Control Board on February 11th...read more |
