Actually, plain vanilla basic strategy players can still do a few more little things to chop away at that last half percent of house advantage without taking that quantum leap into card counting...read moreScobe's Quick Tips: #51 and #52 (Blackjack Basic Strategy, Craps Money Management)12 September 2003 Scobe's Quick Tip #51
Blackjack basic strategy was derived by a computer and should be followed at all times.
If you can memorize the basic strategy, that's great, but if you can't, you can usually purchase a small card in the casino gift shop that will have a "generic" strategy on it...read moreAre 15-Line Machines Looser than 9-Line Machines?11 September 2003 Hey John, I noticed that more and more nickel slot machines are going to 15 or more lines. Is a 15 line any looser than a basic 9 line? I know it costs a lot more money and typically it is more reasonable for me to play a 3 line quarter than it is to play the mulitple line nickles...read moreNover's Sportsgaming Beat; Four Poker Books Solid GBC Arrivals10 September 2003 For those who bet on sports, there are never enough new stories about characters, bad beats, wild and crazy methods of betting; handicapping methodology. Every casino in the country has a player's club, which essentially encourages loyalty, but Harrah's identifies its presence in the highly competitive market with its Total Rewards...read moreThe New Empress is Empressive9 September 2003 From the time Empress in Joliet first announced it was remodeling a barge to replace its Empress I and Empress II riverboats, I was a little wary of the project. After all, this was a scaled-back plan, a substitute for a more expensive construction of a new barge that was scrubbed last year when Illinois raised its maximum gaming tax to 50 percent of revenue...read more |
