Ask Larry: What Are the Payoffs on the World Bet?20 February 2005
Larry,
If you place a six for $180, what does it pay? Also if you lay a six for $210, what does it pay?
Regards, John
Hi, John,
When you place the 6/8 you get 7:6 odds, so when you bet $180 you win $210.
When you LAY the 6/8 you get 5:6 odds, so when you bet $210 you get $175, less vig.
Good luck, Larry
