Sports betting in Delaware

20 October 2009
This is prime time for my friend Bill. He's a football nut, and loves to have a little something going on the games. Office pools? Sure. Fantasy football? Four teams' worth. But what he really loves is sitting in a big Las Vegas sportsbook with TV feeds of a whole day's worth of games on the big screens...read more

Can one really win at the slots?

18 October 2009
Hi, I am a fan of blackjack and have just read an interesting text on how slot machines are pre-programmed, and why one cannot make a profit out of playing them. If this is so, does that mean that all books, tapes, DVDs or whatever claiming to be able to win at slots are false? Can one in the long run win at slots or not? Thanks, Brian Dear Brian, To win at a gambling game in the long run, one needs to have the edge...read more

Controlled shooting success story

18 October 2009
Dear Frank, Had two dinosaur rolls at Buffalo Bills in Primm of 32 minutes on Wednesday and 37 on Saturday. Started with the 3V, but ended up with the 2V on both days. Hitting lots of 3:2s and hardway numbers. After three hard 6s and two hard 4s in a row, I called a two-way 3:2 hopping for $30...read more

The Effect of Odds For a Controlled Shooter

17 October 2009
Recently I wrote an article comparing a pass line bet with placing the 6 or 8 at various levels of dice control. The article compared three different levels of control and the resultant edge for each type of bet. The levels compared were for different sevens-to-rolls-rations (SRRs)...read more

A better way to tip a blackjack dealer

16 October 2009
Many blackjack players feel uneasy about tipping a dealer because they don't know when to tip, how much to tip, or even how to go about giving a tip (a tip in the casino industry is also known as a "toke"). Therefore, I've focused this article on how to go about doing it, and present what I consider to be the best way to tip. Why should a player tip a dealer anyway? After all, tipping won't miraculously change your luck or the odds...read more

Crazy gambling letters from nutty people #5

15 October 2009
Dear Frankie Boy: You state that there is a way to beat carps with a controlled ice throw and we all know this is a wrong idea or all the casinos would be broke by now and turned into Burger King stores and are they? No! I know that someone like Rainman could beat blackjack but all of us aren't geniuses like Dusting Hoffman but at least there is some speculation that blackjack has a way to be beated...read more

WMS Gaming Continues to Expand Innovative Technology

14 October 2009
WMS Gaming knows no boundaries when it comes to developing slot games that take the playing experience to entirely new levels of entertainment. The company has proven that with the four innovative categories of games it has released in recent years: Community Gaming, Transmissive Reels, Sensory Immersion, and Adaptive Gaming. The titles and themes WMS has created using the technology changed the way people play electronic gaming devices. What's more, they are appealing to the younger generation of gaming enthusiasts who grew up with in-home, portable, and arcade video gaming experiences and were searching for a more engaging, entertaining, and challenging way to play slots. Rob Bone, vice president of marketing for WMS, which has its corporate headquarters in Waukegan, Illinois, knows this better than anyone, which is why he is so enthusiastic about the company's plans to continue to expand the technology. "We didn't know if all four of the categories would be successful, or for that matter any of them, but all of them have proven to be very successful," Bone said...read more
