The 12 superstitions about craps: #12 - Dice leave the table and the seven arrives20 February 2012
The 12 most popular superstitions at the game of craps are adhered to or believed by most craps players -- so if you want to play the game and not be thought a craps barbarian, you should know them. Keep in mind that individuals add their own superstitions too so you might hear someone yelling some incoherent thing at the table which to him will ward off the coming of the ominous 7 or bring it on if he is a darkside player. When the shooter accidentally throws a die or the dice off the table and a new die or new dice are used, the seven is more likely to show. If you have never played the game of craps, you might wonder why almost all shooters will say, "Same dice," when one or both dice go hopping off the table. They do so because they believe that new dice (for some strange reason) are more inclined to add up to seven than the old dice will. They won't, but who cares? "Same dice!" is the call.
