Earnings rise for International Game Technology2 November 2007
LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- Slot machine giant International Game Technology disregarded the lack of domestic sales opportunities in the last year and capitalized on the international market.
The result propelled the gaming equipment maker to increases in earnings and revenues for both the fourth quarter and fiscal 2007.
Both IGT Chairman and CEO TJ Matthews and gaming analysts said Thursday they believe the company is in position to benefit as gaming expands, starting with the opening of the Palazzo on the Strip in December.

Wynn Resorts reports earnings31 October 2007 LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- A year ago, the third-quarter earnings of Wynn Resorts Ltd. were somewhat skewed, reflecting just a month of results from the newly opened Wynn Macau and a $900 million influx from the sale of a lucrative subconcession to operate casinos in the Chinese enclave.

Citycenter budget increases31 October 2007
LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- The budget for Las Vegas' most expensive construction project grew a little larger Tuesday.
MGM Mirage said building costs for the 76-acre CityCenter development on the Strip had increased $400 million to $7.8 billion.
The project includes a 4,000-room hotel-casino, four high-rise residential and condominium-hotels, and an entertainment, dining and retail district.
MGM Mirage Chairman Terry Lanni said the complexity of CityCenter, which required more steel and concrete than has been previously budgeted, was the reason for cost increase.
