Nevada casino work card system now online22 July 2009 LAS VEGAS, Nevada –- More than five years after taking over the casino employee registration program from local law enforcement, state gaming regulators have moved the process online in an effort to cut costs and streamline the work card system.
The Gaming Control Board Technology Division, using internal resources and staff to develop the process, created the program, which went live this month.
Under Nevada law, casino employees, including dealers, count-room personnel, cashiers, and certain accounting and internal audit staff are required to register with the Gaming Control Board before working for a Nevada gaming licensee.

Wynn planning IPO in Hong Kong21 July 2009 LAS VEGAS, Nevada –- Las Vegas-based Wynn Resorts plans to spin off shares in its Wynn Macau casino into a separate initial public offering that will be traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, several wire services reported late Monday.
According to un-named sources quoted by Dow Jones News Service, the IPO would take place in fourth quarter and Wynn hopes to raise between $1 billion and $2 billion.

LV Sands promotes Rob Goldstein15 July 2009 LAS VEGAS, Nevada –- Long-time Las Vegas Sands Corp. executive Rob Goldstein was promoted to executive vice president and saw his employment agreement extended by two-and-a-half years, the company announced Tuesday.
