Atlantic City continues to struggle28 June 2010 ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- In the same breath in which the gaming industry received rare positive news from Wall Street, Atlantic City was given yet another beat-down.
And so continues the Boardwalk's years of discontent.
Last week, Moody's Investors Service revised its Industry Sector Outlook for gaming to "stable" from its previous view of "negative."

Kassela first double-bracelet winner of WSOP25 June 2010 LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- It took 40 events, but the World Series of Poker finally crowned its first multiple individual event bracelet winner of the tournament.Frank Kassela of Memphis, Tenn., captured the $2,500 buy-in Seven-Card Razz event early Thursday morning at the Rio, topping a 365-player field and earning $214,085.Kassela won his first gold bracelet two weeks ago in the Seven-Card Stud High-Low Split championship.According to official records, Kassela now has two wins, three final table appearances, and six in the money finishes at the World Series of Poker, giving him career earnings of $764,144.With 17 events remaining in the World Series of Poker, Kassela has a chance to tie the record of three for most wins at a single tournament...read more |
