Addam's Family a Dud in Tahoe? Statewide?4 August 2000
Well, it certainly doesn’t seem to be drawing the crowds that one would have expected from all the hype going on for months and months now! It has only graced a couple of casino floors in Tahoe so far...but is there a sign that gamblers are saying "NO" to a 45-coin nickel linked progressive that currently ... (read more)
Checking Out A California Indian Casino28 July 2000
Saturday I decided to check out what all the ruckus was about California Indian Casinos. It had been a year since I last visited the one just off of California State Route 88 in Jackson, so it was time to visit again and see what changes had occurred since the passage of Proposition 1A in March, allowing the tribes to offer Vegas style games, with the exception of craps and roulette. ... Nature at its finest! Not to worry if you are inside most of Tahoe's casinos...backup power systems take over...and the betting continues. ... (read more)

The sight of money pouring out at the Lake continues...maybe not the millions, but $40-50 grand here and there isn't exactly chump change, either! Tahoe's River of Cash Continues to Flow8 June 2000
I haven't seen anything like this in ages. Somebody lined up the three jackpot symbols on the Caesars Tahoe Lamborghini Diablo last weekend. Again, the magic number in Tahoe was $9 total coin-in to win something superb! The lucky winner chose the cash option instead of the car. So if you like shiny neon yellow "fantasy" cars, you can still see the Lamborghini. ... (read more)
