Strip gaming revenue sees very slight decline in July13 September 2010 LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- You could surmise that one hand of baccarat allowed Strip casinos to report a positive month in July.
Roughly $12,000 is all that separated the Strip's gaming revenue comparison between July 2010 and July 2009.

Vegas visitor numbers jump 4.7 percent in July13 September 2010 LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- Visitation into Las Vegas recorded its largest single-month percentage jump in almost five years during July, thanks in part to a boost in convention attendance and a record number of customers driving in from Southern California.

Shuffle Master's third-quarter earnings up 14 percent10 September 2010 LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- The addition of table games to casinos in Delaware, Pennsylvania and the opening of gambling in Singapore, lifted Shuffle Master's third-quarter earnings.
The Las Vegas-based gambling equipment provider said Wednesday its net income was $5.8 million, or 11 cents per share, in the three-month period ended July 31, up from net earnings of $5.6 million, or 10 cents per share, a year earlier.
Revenue rose 14.2 percent to $51.5 million from $45.1 million.
Shuffle Master told investors the sales of automated card shufflers into Delaware and Pennsylvania, which added blackjack and poker tables during June and July, increased 15 percent in the quarter.
Shuffle Master said it now has 6,588 shufflers leased to casinos around the world, a 16 percent increase from a year ago...read more |
