Steve Wynn buys 1 million shares of his company's stock

Boyd announces plans to redesign California Hotel

Boyd Gaming Corp. on Thursday announced an extensive redesign of its downtown California Hotel & Casino that will give the resort that caters predominantly to a Hawaiian customer base a new look to its public areas and hotel rooms.The company did not reveal a price for the remodel, call it a "multi-million-dollar" renovation.The 40-year-old property was the company's first downtown casino and is part of a reinvestment Boyd Gaming has undertaken to its resorts in Las Vegas and regional markets."We are proud to continue reinvesting in the place where our company was born," Boyd Gaming Executive Chairman Bill Boyd said in a statement.Earlier this year, Boyd Gaming opened the California Noodle House inside the property.In addition to new interiors throughout the casino and public areas, Boyd will upgrade and redesign the California's 500 hotel rooms and suites...read more
