Top 10 teams to win Super Bowl LXI

17 August 2026

The first week of preseason games are in the books and teams are preparing to chip away at finalizing their rosters ahead of Week 1. We have a Super Bowl rematch to kickoff the season when the New England Patriots head to Seattle to face the defending-champion Seahawks. Will either of these two make it back?

Today, we take a look at 10 teams who we think are worth betting to win this year’s Super Bowl.

All odds provided by bet365 Sportsbook & Racebook

10. Packers (+1800)
Last year, the Green Bay Packers suffered a tough 31-27 loss in the Wild Card round against the Chicago Bears after a late touchdown pass from Caleb Williams to DJ Moore that was the game-winner in what became an instant classic. This year, Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs and company have a strong roster yet again. The speedy receiving core of Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Matthew Golden are showing signs of growth and improvement on chemistry with their QB.

Defensively, a lot of the O-line’s eyes go toward Micah Parsons but he will be sidelined with a torn ACL until around Week 6. When he returns, he brings a completely different look and he is capable of getting to the QB on every drop back.

9. 49ers (+1800)
You really can’t have this list without including a team with a game-changing player like Christian McCaffrey. The All-Pro running back and fantasy football stud has the ability to break runs for 20+ yards in the blink of an eye, or cause havoc in the pass game out of the backfield and turning a screen pass into a chunk play.

QB Brock Purdy knows how to get his playmakers the ball and that is exactly what he does. He takes what the defense gives him and tries not to force much which helps limiting turnovers.

Deebo Samuel is back in a 49ers uniform and he will be lining up with Mike Evans. Both may not be in their prime anymore, but they will fit in well with the QB style of Purdy.

A month ago, 49ers’ Head Coach Kyle Shanahan was involved in a head-on car collision that resulted in several injuries including a concussion and several broken ribs. He is back with the team but missed some time while he was treated after the accident. This could be something to keep an eye on if that time missed has them behind in any way.

8. Ravens (+1100)
The most dangerous QB-RB duo in the NFL is arguably in Baltimore with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. Derrick Henry is a monster at 6-foot-2, 250 pounds. In the open field, he is not going to get brought down by one person so you better be sure you defense has a focus on him.

Jackson has made a great career of extending plays with his legs when his receivers are covered. If you don’t have a spy on Jackson, it could be a long day for your defense.

A player who has really taken his game to the next level is Zay Flowers. The receiver has improved every season and reached over 1,200 receiving yards last year and found the endzone five times. Pair him with the speed of Rashod Bateman and the strong tight end Mark Andrews, and you have a very strong offensive attack.

At the helm of the roster is new Baltimore coach Jesse Minter who was previously the defensive coordinator with the Chargers and that defense was one of the best in the NFL during his tenure there. Expect him to run a similar defense here in Baltimore.

7. Seahawks (+1100)
The defending Super Bowl champs, are led by QB Sam Darnold and one of the best receivers in football, Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

You may wonder why last year’s Super Bowl winning team is so low on the list, and it’s because they suffered a big loss in the offseason as running back Kenneth Walker III, last season’s Super Bowl MVP, signed with the Chiefs in free agency. That is quite the blow to the running game and, on top of that, Seahawks top back Zach Charbonnet has a torn ACL and is currently on the PUP list heading into the second preseason game.

That said, the Seattle defense is still a top defense in the NFL. They have up the fewest points per game a season ago at 17.2.

6. Patriots (+1600)
One of the bigger moves in the NFL offseason was the New England Patriots bringing in A.J. Brown in a trade with the Eagles. Getting QB Drake Maye a bigger-bodied target is a big positive for the Patriots’ offense. The offense lost Stefon Diggs, so adding another weapon was key. New England also signed Romeo Doubs to go alongside Brown.

The running back duo of Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson are back to give a productive running attack to balance the offense.

The pass protection was ultimately the reason they could not keep up with Seattle in Super Bowl LX so that will have to be a big focus to make sure Maye has time to move the ball down field.

One issue could also be an off-field incident that could be a distraction. In April photos of Mike Vrabel and NFL journalist Dianna Russini came out of the two of them at a resort in Arizona, leading to rumors of an affair involving the Patriots head coach. We will see if that will keep Vrabel from being focused and if any of the players are distracted from the stories and rumors as well.

5. Lions (+1800)
It’s safe to say that the Detroit Lions had a disappointing season last year, finishing 9-8 and missing the playoffs.

Their roster is too good to be missing out on the postseason. Jahmyr Gibbs is one of the most electric players in the NFL when he has the ball in his hands. Anytime he gets the ball, you have really no clue on how the play will end. Amon-Ra St. Brown tallied 117 catches and Jameson Williams is a great deep threat for QB Jared Goff.

The offense is going to score points this year. It will be up to the defense to keep teams out of the endzone to avoid having another year of frustration.

4. Eagles (+1600)
One year after winning the Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Eagles were bounced out by the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round.

The dynamic duo of Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley are looking for redemption this season but they will have to do it without A.J. Brown. WR DeVonta Smith will have to take a step forward and be the top guy in the passing game and he is more than capable.

The defense is always going to be strong and hard hitting in Philly. Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis lead the front line and are deep in the trenches in the battle of the two lines. In the secondary, Cooper DeJean has really come alive to be a big factor in passing defense.

3. Chargers (+1600)
The Los Angeles Chargers had a strong 11-6 record last year before losing in the Wild Card round to the New England Patriots.

Justin Herbert is a solid QB to build around with his arm strength and his capability to get out and pick up a first down with his legs. However, injuries have been an issue and partly because the O-line cannot keep him upright.

Improvements have been made up front so hopefully that will help Herbert being able to get the ball to Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston.

Omarion Hampton showed his talents in the nine games he played in his rookie year. Surpassing 500 yards on the ground and nearly 200 yards receiving, Hampton is going to be a big piece of this offense in 2026.

2. Rams (+500)
The favorites to win it all, the Los Angeles Rams, have a very strong roster. Last year’s MVP Matthew Stafford has a rocket of an arm and can spray the ball all over the field. It helps having Puka Nacua running routes and a big redzone target in Davante Adams.

Kyren Williams is a big boost for the ground game. He ran over 1,200 yards last year and the fourth-year player out of Notre Dame has scored at least 10 rushing touchdowns in each of the last three years.

Myles Garrett coming to LA in the offseason was arguably the biggest move made in the NFL. Bringing the Defensive Player of the Year who set the single-season sacks record puts the Rams defense instantly in the top ranks.

1. Bills (+1000)
Losing the AFC East title last year was not on many bingo cards for the Bills last year. Neither was losing to the Broncos in OT in the Divisional Round.

But QB Josh Allen is back and we’ve seen his more than capable of playing like the best player in all of football. He returns with his backfield partner James Cook III who exploded for over 1,600 ground yards, the most in the NFL, and 14 total touchdowns.

The lack of depth in receivers was a problem for Allen last year. Bringing in DJ Moore in the offseason isn’t the biggest move, but it is one that will help to say the least. Allen really has built a chemistry with both tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox who will both be in Buffalo again this year.

This offense will be one difficult force to stop and I am not sure if anyone will be able to. While the Bills have a new coach this year, the offense shouldn’t see many changes. Joe Brady takes over as head coach but he was the offensive coordinator for the Bills previously so him and Allen already have a strong relationship.
