Top 10 Las Vegas pool experiences11 July 2022
Whether you are looking to relax or be at a party, the resorts in Las Vegas have impressive pool experiences and here we take a look at 10 pools to consider stopping by on your next trip out west. 10. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has several pool options for guests. If you are hoping for a more chill vibe, The Chelsea Pool is for you. Located on the 14th level, The Chelsea opens at 8 a.m. daily and is open until 6 p.m. If you want some music playing during your pool experience, head over to Boulevard Pool, perched above the Las Vegas Strip, that has the same hours of operation and is on the fourth level. During the summer months, movies also play at this pool. Now if you are in search of a more of a party style, you have the Marquee Dayclub that turns into an outdoor lounge with a DJ, such as Lil Jon who is performing this Friday at Marquee.
9. Resorts World Las Vegas Similar to The Cosmo, Resorts World Las Vegas, which opened its doors last June, also has several options when it comes to pool experiences. The resort offers an expansive 5.5-acre pool complex featuring five pool experiences, including the only infinity-edge pool on The Strip. There is the Family Pool where kids can be playful and enjoy the water and it also features three private cabanas that are available to reserve for families. The Bimini Pool has a little different take on the pool experience. If you want to take a break from swimming and cooling off, guests can take part in the giant chess game right outside the pool. If cabana-style relaxing is for you, then it probably makes sense to check out the Cabana Pool at Resorts World Las Vegas. There are 13 cabanas for reservation and deck chairs all alongside the pool. It’s the perfect pool for swimmers to have a private relaxing area after taking a dip in the pool. 8. The Palms Casino Resort SOAK Pool at The Palms Casino Resort is a 73,000-square-foot pool space featuring two luxurious main pools and an abundance of cabanas, daybeds and luxury poolside seating. Every week Monday through Thursday locals can gain free entry to SOAK as well as a 25% off discount on daybeds. Guests have the option to lounge at one of the two main pools or get their own private cabana with a plunge pool overlooking the oasis. There is also food and beverage service right at your lounge chair. SOAK Pool at Palms offers 39 cabanas that can hold up to eight people and come with a TV, dedicated server, and drink specials. Daybeds can host four people with a dedicated server and drink specials. In April, Palms become the first and only Native American-owned casino in Las Vegas after the new owners of the iconic casino, San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority, unveiled an extensive renovation and refresh of the property. 7. Caesars Palace Caesars Palace, located smack in the middle of the Strip, has a plethora of options for pool lovers. While I have yet to hit The Gardens of the Gods at Caesars yet, it is for sure on my list because of what it has to offer. Venus Pool and Lounge is an adult-only space. This becomes for the property’s invite-only guests and has a night swim opportunity from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. The largest pool, Neptune Pool, is where the party is at. Daybeds, cabanas and music keep the energy going throughout the day which is where I would normally find myself, but at Caesars, I’d be at a different spot. You can catch me at Fortuna Pool because I can combine my gambling Las Vegas experience with my pool relaxation experience. Fortuna Pool has swim-up blackjack tables with easy access to the pool bar as well. So you can sit on your stools in the water and hopefully come away with some extra money as well from the tables.
6. Wynn Las Vegas/Encore Resort Both Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Resort have very elegant and calming pool areas but the main attraction for pool experiences are the party pools. Encore Beach Club serves both as a day pool party and a night party. This area is filled with daybeds and cabanas and is known for bringing in some of the top DJs and performers to keep the party rocking. In fact, this Saturday will feature The Chainsmokers during the day at Encore Beach Club. The Chainsmokers have also performed at XS Nightclub and so has Diplo and David Guetta. Once you make it through the golden entrance, you will be hit with music and an electric party scene as the party takes place around the Wynn’s pool. 5. Aria Resort & Casino Staying at the Aria, which is part of the massive CityCenter on the Strip, during my trip in May, I had plenty of time spent at their pools and the day party. The three main pools are a great spot to lay out and grab a drink. We never had to wait long for food or drinks to be brought to our lounge chairs while at the pools. In the Las Vegas heat, you have to take a dip once in awhile in order to stay cooed off at least a little bit. The Aria pools are definitely refreshing and have plenty of lounge chairs to put your stuff by and claim a spot when you head into the pool. Moving over to Liquid Pool at Aria is a completely different experience than the other pools. Purposed for parties, I would highly recommend reserving a daybed or cabana if you plan to be there for a good chunk of the day. This gives you a spot to sit and have your stuff at when you need a quick break from the chaos in the center of it all. Free to hotel guests, Liquid is a really fun place and if you only want to go for some of the day and then go relax, Aria’s options give you that choice so you can go live it up at Liquid then go find a lounge chair at one of the three main pools. 4. Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino If you’ve been to Las Vegas, you probably have heard about Mandalay Bay Beach and the pool experience there. The massive 11-acre space has something for everyone in the family. Starting with the wave pool, you have to be at least four-feet tall to enter and the waves are no joke. They can reach up to six-feet high and can knock you back a little bit but are fun to ride the tides in. If you aren’t looking for something as intense but don’t want to just be sitting on a lounge chair, there is also a lazy river that may be more your speed. Grab a tube and float down the river that extends over a quarter of a mile and try not to dose off in your tube because it looks pretty peaceful. If those are “crazy” enough for you, head over to the Beach Club where the parties and concerts are happening. Cabanas, daybeds, servers and DJs are all at the Beach Club to take your pool experience to the next level.
3. Bellagio Another resort I have stayed at is Bellagio and I fell in love with the pools and pool area there. If you can find a person at one of the five pools at Bellagio not having a good time, I will be extremely impressed. Music is playing across the pools and my friends and I would head down early and find four chairs, hopefully by an umbrella, to claim as our spot for the day. Servers came around throughout the day and took our orders for drinks and such, and I have to admit, the frozen mudslide was my drink of choice during that stay. Like many pools throughout Las Vegas, cabana and daybed rentals are an option. The heated pools were still a refreshing jolt once you got out of sitting and baking in the sun. There are also a couple of hot tubs that were a good way to end our pool day. I would recommend this pool to anyone I knew that was planning on visiting the Strip.
2. MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is absolutely massive and an easy place to get lost in with all it has to offer. The pool are is no different as it runs 6.5 acres long with four pools, three whirlpools, waterfalls and a lazy river. There is plenty to do for anyone at this spot and in addition to all of the water options, guests at the pool can enjoy any of the five bars and a restaurant. If you are ready for a more wild experience, you can make your way to Wet Republic Ultra Pool, the party pool at the resort. This 54,000 square-foot outdoor club really demonstrates a big party scene and includes a ridiculously long bar. This area also has two saltwater pools that have daybeds and cabanas all around them. If you are not a guest at the hotel, you just need to get a pass to get in. 1. Circa Resort & Casino Circa Resort & Casino opened its doors in October 2020 and unveiled one of the best pool experiences that Las Vegas has seen. Are three-levels and six pools the making of a one-of-a-kind pool area? The simple answer is yes and that is what Stadium Swim at Circa offers. Stadium Swim features a massive 135-by-41-foot, 14 million-megapixel LED screen, a DJ booth, two swim-up bars, 30 cabanas, 340 chaise lounges, 38 day beds and two spas. Open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., Stadium Swim is a perfect place to go watch our bet from the world's largest sportsbook with a 78-million-pixel screen viewable to up to 1,000 people hopefully hit while you catch some sun and relax in the water. If you are there during the “cold” months, don’t worry because Stadium Swim's pools will be heated to up to 104 degrees during that time.
