ABBY: To put a finer point on this, Fibonacci wasn’t the first or only person to discover this mathematical truth. The Fibonacci sequence was even earlier applied in Indian mathematics and used in poetry. It has some long history. CINDY: The Fibonacci sequence has been found throughout all of the natural world, including poetry structures, flowers, trees, musical relationships and so on. It only made sense that this seemingly permanent natural string be used to help gamblers win the casino’s money. Hope rules eternally in the hearts of casino players. Abby and I certainly know that truth. Here is the Fibonacci string: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144… it can continue for as long as you want. ABBY: As you can see, the numbers are the combination of the two previous numbers. The 2 is made with 1 + 1. The 13 is made with 5 + 8 and so on. Play this system and you will probably need to keep a sheet or little note book to record where you are at any given time. CINDY: The player goes through these numbers to structure his or her wagers. Think of each of these numbers as indicative of how much money you should bet. If you are a $10 bettor, the sequence of bets could be: $10, $10, $20, $30, $50, $80, $130, $210 $340, $550, $890, $1440 and on up. ABBY: As you can see, the big wagers are in the string. You can’t avoid them for too long. A losing streak can mean a LOSING streak. CINDY: Of course, if you proceed through the Fibonacci string, you will have to make some monster-sized wagers. That’s in the cards or dice or roulette wheel. ABBY: Note well; if you win your first $10 bet then you keep wagering $10 until you lose. When you lose then you make the second bet which would again be $10. If you lose that bet then you make the third bet of $20. CINDY: If you win a $210 bet you will go down two numbers. Unlike the dreadful Martingale, the Fibonacci system does not mean wins as you play the string. Instead, your losses will be curtailed. Once again: a loss means to go one number up; while a win means to go two numbers down. ABBY: Easy playing method. If you win that first bet you just keep betting it. CINDY: The house edges on all the games remain the same as if you weren’t playing the Fibonacci. This is not an advantage-play technique. No betting system is a way to get the edge.
