Casino City’s Friday Five: Prediction markets, cyber deals and expansions edition

21 November 2025

After news broke earlier this month that DraftKings and FanDuel are moving into prediction markets, Fanatics said its launch with Crypto.com isn’t far off. In addition this week, we have Las Vegas Cyber Week deals ready for visitors, a Nevada resort unveiling a major expansion, a first look at a casino coming to Pennsylvania, and yet another millionaire made from a jackpot in Sin City.

Let’s begin with the seven-figure payout:

5. $1.1 million slot jackpot hits at The Venetian Las Vegas
As Las Vegas was gearing up for FI Weekend, a guest at The Venetian Las Vegas, who wished to remain anonymous, was playing $1 Million Dragon Link on 18 November in the high limit gaming lounge had a morning worth celebrating. They won the Grand Jackpot for $1,140,529 from a $125 bet.

4. Happy Valley Casino unveils first look at new casino
Yesterday, Happy Valley Casino in Pennsylvania revealed the first official renderings of its anticipated entertainment destination, set to open in spring 2026.

Happy Valley Casino will feature 94,000 square feet of gaming space, including 600 slots machines, 30 table games, a high limit gaming area, a quick-serve dining outlet and full-service restaurant.

Guests will enjoy easy access from both inside the Centre County mall and dedicated exterior entrances, with parking directly adjacent to the property.

3. Las Vegas unveils Cyber Week deals
Cyber Week brings special pricing and limited-time packages that make it a great time to plan a trip to the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World.

Caesars Entertainment's Las Vegas resorts are offering limited-time hotel packages now through Wednesday, 31 December. Guests can book a $300 package for a two-night stay at select resorts with a $200 food and beverage credit, or a $400 package for a three-night stay with a $250 credit.

From Tuesday, 25 November through Friday, 5 December, guests can book a getaway with MGM Resorts at properties including Bellagio Resort & Casino, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, and enjoy up to 30% off room rates plus up to $150 in food and beverage credit. MGM Rewards members receive even greater savings with up to 40% off room rates and the same dining credit.

2. M Resort Spa Casino to open $206 million expansion
M Resort Spa Casino in Henderson will commemorate the grand opening of its $206 million expansion with a celebration on 3 December — marking the debut of the resort’s new East Tower, expanded conference and event space, and renovated casino floor.

The $206 million expansion nearly doubles the Nevada resort’s capacity with the addition of the new East Tower, offering 375 modern guest rooms—bringing M Resort’s total accommodations to 765.

The development also includes the 15,000 square foot Montese Ballroom, opened in October 2025, enhancing the property’s total indoor and outdoor conference and event space to more than 100,000 square feet.

The refreshed table games pit area introduces new lighting, chairs, and carpet. The High Limit Table Games Room has also been completely refurbished with new carpet, wall hangings and lighting.

1. Fanatics entering the prediction markets sector
Fanatics is set to become the next operator to throw its hat in the predictions markets ring.

The company’s CEO said in an interview with CNBC that its collaboration with Crypto.com is set to launch in the “coming weeks.”

This announcement comes just about a week after FanDuel said its prediction app will be launching on 1 December. It also is a month after DraftKings acquired Railbird Technologies and first announced at the time its plan to enter the prediction markets arena in the coming months.

In addition, both FanDuel and DraftKings announced separately this week that they have severed ties with the American Gaming Association, citing strategic disagreements regarding the industry's shift toward prediction markets.
