Caesars Entertainment completes transformation of Caesars New Orleans Caesars Entertainment celebrated the completion of its $435 million transformation of Harrah's to Caesars New Orleans Hotel & Casino on Tuesday, 22 October. The ceremony kicked off with an iconic Mardi Gras float featuring Caesar and his court and a firework show to officially welcome Caesars to New Orleans. The resort boasts nearly 800 hotel rooms between its two hotel towers – the new Caesars Tower and the original hotel tower on Poydras Street. The destination provides an extensive gaming experience with more than 150,000 square feet of upgraded gaming and dining space featuring more than 1,300 slot machines, 120 table games, a 20-table World Series of Poker Room, three outdoor gaming courtyards and a 5,700-square-foot Caesars Sportsbook.

Delaware Park Casino breaks ground on $5 million expansion Last week, Delaware Park Casino & Racing broke ground on a $5 million expansion, announcing plans for a nearly 10,000-square-foot outdoor slot patio. The new space will provide guests with more than 250 of the latest and most popular slot machines, in an open-air environment. Located adjacent to the casino’s racetrack, the patio will be heated in the winter and is expected to be completed by spring 2025. This expansion comes right on the heels of Delaware Park’s $10 million renovation of its main casino floor, which features new slot titles, high-limit table games, enhanced dining options and a modern design. In addition, beginning 8 November, table games will join the first-floor slots as a round-the-clock offering, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
