Uganda Casino Petitions for License

UGANDA – As reported by the Kampala: "A new gambling house in Uganda, Casino Grande (U) Ltd, has petitioned the High Court to order the Government to licence it in a gaming and pool betting business.

"The casino's lawyer, Ebert Byenkya, told Justice Stephen Muhanguzi that the indefinite postponement of their fate had cost them money and denied them the right to engage in gainful business.

"The casino filed the application against the finance ministry Permanent Secretary, Chris Kassami and the Attorney General on grounds that their rights were violated. They also want compensation for the economic loss they have suffered…"
