NBA betting now permitted at Maloof's casino

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- As reported by USA TODAY: "The NBA Board of Governors gave permission for the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas to accept bets on all NBA teams except the Sacramento Kings."

"The casino is owned by the Maloof family who also own the Kings. Previously the casino could take no NBA wagers."

"While NFL betting is a much bigger business, NBA betting it is attractive to casinos because of the large number of games in a season and the fact that it brings some late night action..."
