Man wins $1 million at Atlantic City casino

25 October 2011

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City just announced that at 6:31 p.m. on Sunday, October 23rd its Three Card Poker 6 Card Bonus(TM) hit at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City for $1 Million.

The gentleman, who wished not to have his identity revealed, bet $19 then flashed a 6-Card Super Royal all in the Diamonds suit to become Atlantic City's first $1 Million winner in Three Card Poker 6 Card Bonus(TM).

"On behalf of Harrah's Resort and Caesars Entertainment, we would like to congratulate Atlantic City's newest millionaire," said Frank Ursino, Director of Table Games for Harrah's Resort Atlantic City. "With Bad Beat Jackpots hitting almost on a monthly basis and now with this latest million dollar Three Card Poker 6 Card Bonus winner, our poker rooms and table games aren't just alive, they're flourishing."

The Three Card Poker 6 Card Bonus(TM) began on Monday September 26th, and is only available to Caesars, Harrah's Resort, Bally's, and Showboat Atlantic City customers.

The 6 Card Bonus(TM) side bet on Three Card PokerĀ® gives players the chance to win $1 million with a total wager as small as $15 if they hit a Super Royal in Diamonds: 9, 10, J, Q, K, A. Additionally, $100,000 payouts will be available for the Super Royal in Hearts, Clubs or Spades.

Originally launched in Las Vegas, Atlantic City is now currently offering the opportunity to win this impressive jackpot. The game offers the first table-game payout of this size without an escalating progressive jackpot in a traditional brick and mortar casino. For years, slot players have enjoyed the opportunity to win mega-jackpots, and now, Caesars Entertainment is offering this same opportunity to table game players where any player can win, on any day, at any time, in just one hand.

To be eligible to make the 6 Card Bonus $1 million wager a player must place an ante wager and a Pair Plus wager based on the posted table minimums. The 6 Card Bonus wager is offered at $5-$100 with odds paid on all hands of 3-of-a-kind or better, except for the $100,000 and $1 million Super Royal hands, which are fixed payouts.

A player can win $1 million from a $15 total bet on the three different bets if playing at a $5 minimum game. Anticipating the popularity of the game, each of Caesars Entertainment's resorts has added additional Three Card Poker 6 Card Bonus tables. Caesars Atlantic City now has a 12 tables, Harrah's Resort 14, Bally's 16, and Showboat 9.

Players enjoy Three Card Poker because of its simplicity, low table minimums and relatively high payouts; the 6 Card Bonus side bet gives guests the opportunity to turn a bad hand into a winning hand, or a good hand into an even better one. With more than 1,550 tables worldwide, Three Card Poker, licensed by Shuffle Master, Inc., is the most popular specialty game of all time. It is a fast-paced game that players can quickly learn and enjoy. Caesars Entertainment holds the exclusive rights to the $1 million payout for Three Card Poker 6 Card Bonus.
