Isle of Capri Damaged by Storm

BILOXI, Mississippi – As reported by the Biloxi Sun Herald: "A portion of the facade on the west wall of the Isle of Capri's hotel collapsed and landed on a public boat dock before daybreak today as strong thunderstorms moved across South Mississippi.

"No boats at the Point Cadet Pier, which is located behind the casino resort, appeared to have been damaged, according to initial inspections conducted by the Biloxi Port Commission and Isle officials. However, the debris from the section of wall, which measured about 20 by 40 feet, did damage two of the power panels that supply electricity to boats moored at the dock, said Vincent Creel, a spokesman for the city of Biloxi…"
