Greektown on track13 August 2008DETROIT, Michigan -- As reported by the Detroit News: "Greektown Casino is on track to complete construction of its new hotel-casino-resort complex in time to meet deadlines imposed by creditors as part of its agreement to exit bankruptcy, a representative for the gambling hall told the Michigan Gaming Control Board at its Tuesday meeting. "The update came from Charles Moore, a financial consultant for Greektown, which plans to open its expanded gaming floor Aug. 29. He also told the board that Greektown is obligated to have most construction completed on its hotel by Feb. 12. "...Moore's briefing was the first since the state's governing gaming body decided in June to require Greektown to provide weekly written reports and monthly oral presentations updating authorities on the progress of Greektown's construction and bankruptcy..." |
