Greektown construction reaches milestone30 July 2008DETROIT, Michigan -- As reported by the Detroit Free-Press: "On Wednesday Greektown Casino will mark the final pour of concrete to its new 30-story, 400-room hotel currently under construction. "The top-off marks the completion of the exterior of Greektown Casino's hotel structure. The remainder of construction activity will be enclosing the structure and finishing the interior of the hotel, which is scheduled to open in early 2009. "...The new casino and hotel will include a multi-purpose theater, buffet, three restaurants, and 25,000 square feet of additional gaming space. Total investment in the permanent Greektown Casino project will be about $500 million..." |
