Gold Country Casino Resort marks 30 years in Oroville

28 August 2026

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Gold Country Casino Resort will celebrate 30 years in Oroville this September, marking three decades as a regional gaming, entertainment and hospitality destination in Northern California.

Owned by the Berry Creek Rancheria of Tyme Maidu Indians of California, a federally recognized Native American Tribe, Gold Country Casino Resort was founded in 1996 and has grown into a full-service resort featuring more than 1,000 slot machines, table games, the Platinum High-Limit Area, hotel accommodations, an RV park, dining, nightlife, live entertainment, meeting and event space, and guest packages tied to nearby Lake Oroville.

The milestone will be celebrated throughout September with “30 Days of Events for 30 Years,” a monthlong campaign featuring entertainment, dining specials, guest promotions, giveaways and a public anniversary celebration. The resort will mark its official anniversary on Friday, 11 September with a public cake-cutting celebration at 6 p.m.

“For 30 years, Gold Country Casino Resort has proudly welcomed guests from across Northern California and beyond while creating memorable experiences rooted in gaming, entertainment, hospitality and community,” said Jody Carlson, director of marketing of Gold Country Casino Resort. “This anniversary is an opportunity to recognize the guests, team members and community partners who helped shape our story, while celebrating the continued growth of Gold Country as a regional resort destination.”

September anniversary programming includes sold-out performances by Multi-Platinum band Plain White T’s on 4 and 5 September and Tape Face, as seen on America’s Got Talent, on 19 September. Additional anniversary events include casino promotions, dining offers, bingo events, karaoke, trivia, weekend drawings and complimentary cupcakes every Saturday beginning at 6 p.m.
