Foxwoods, union battle heats up11 July 2007MASHANTUCKET, Conneticut -- As reported by the Connecticut Day: "Foxwoods Resort Casino is harassing workers who are trying to organize here, the United Auto Workers has alleged in federal unfair labor practice charges filed Monday and today. "One charge alleges that Foxwoods is maintaining unlawful rules that prohibit employees from communicating about union matters, said Mike Cass, a supervisory examiner with Hartford's Region 34 of the National Labor Relations Board. One worker has allegedly been unfairly suspended for writing on literature Foxwoods posted criticizing the union effort, Cass said..." |
