Several of those large payouts have happened for some lucky winners over the past year. As 2018 comes to a close, we take a look back at some of the massive jackpots won throughout the year. 10. $512,350 payday at The Orleans A guest of The Orleans in Las Vegas turned her visit into a $512,350 payday when she hit the Aristocrat 7UP slot jackpot on Monday, 29 October. Tina, a Texas resident, parlayed a five-dollar spin into a life-changing prize at 12:15 a.m. on the Monday morning, winning the top prize on the 7UP nationwide progressive slot machine. 9. $750,000 Buffalo Thundering 7’s jackpot at Delta Downs A guest of Delta Downs Racetrack Casino & Hotel turned her stay into $750,367 as she hit Aristocrat’s Buffalo Thundering 7's slot jackpot early Sunday, 21 October. Sandra N. of Houston, Texas, a $5 spin led to a life-changing prize at 10:26 a.m. on 21 October, winning the top prize. 8. Vegas player wins a $762,479at Sam’s Town A local Las Vegas slot player turned a stop at Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall into a $762,479.60 win as he hit Aristocrat's Buffalo Thundering 7's jackpot on Tuesday, 31 July. Michael M. hit the jackpot at approximately 2 a.m. at the popular locals casino located on the Boulder Strip. With a $5 spin on the Buffalo Thundering 7's progressive slot game, he scored the massive prize. 7. $781,000 jackpot at Aquarius Casino Resort Southern California resident Gebre S. won big at Aquarius Casino Resort in late October, taking home a $781,000 jackpot. Gebre hit the monster jackpot on a Progressive Buffalo Grand machine following an exciting bonus round, only achievable when playing a bet of $3.00 to $3.75. Gebre had played a little over $700 before hitting the jackpot. 6. $875,527 jackpot at Greektown Casino Hotel On Wednesday, 15 August, a Greektown Casino Hotel guest found his pockets a little heavier when he won big while playing Wheel of Fortune Double Diamond. The guest, who wished to remain anonymous, placed $20 into his favorite slot machine and walked away with a pocket full of cash – $875,527, to be exact. After seeing the winning combination come across the line, the 50-year-old man said he was so shocked that he could not move. When asked what he will do with the jackpot, the lucky winner said he plans to use his winnings to take his family on a trip. 5. Choctaw Casino awards $907,228jackpot An Oklahoma woman hit VGT’s $uper Hit$ Jackpot$ for $907,228.87 while playing at Choctaw Casino Resort - Grant in, Oklahoma. Alice was playing VGT’s Lucky Ducky $uper Hit$ Jackpot$ game when she hit the jackpot. $uper Hit$ Jackpot$ is a three-reel mechanical wide area progressive appearing on top of player-favorite VGT game titles and has a starting jackpot of $250,000. In 2018 alone, players have won more than $2,466,768.54 playing $uper Hit$ Jackpot$. 4. $1 million jackpot winner at Vee Quiva North Dakota resident Ashley Oswald was visiting friends in Arizona when they decided to celebrate Father’s Day at their favorite Valley casino, Gila River Hotels & Casinos – Vee Quiva Hotel and Casino. While there, Oswald hit the jackpot on a Wheel of Fortune slot machine and won $1,090,948.51. This life-changing jackpot is made sweeter because it was in tribute to her late father, who had a tradition of going to the casino with his daughter. In celebration of Father’s Day Oswald wanted to honor her dad by playing at Vee Quiva. Oswald said she hasn’t made exact plans for the jackpot winnings, but knows she wants to purchase a new vehicle. 3. $1.9 million jackpot at Mohegan Sun On the morning of Wednesday, 3 October, Cindy Montalbano’s life changed forever. Playing the Wizard of Oz penny slot machine in Casino of the Sky at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, Montalbano hit a progressive jackpot, cashing in for $1,984,388.38. The score marked one of the largest amounts won on a progressive jackpot at Mohegan Sun and it comes after Kenneth Frey of Bethel, Connecticut, nearly hit the million mark, taking home $875,898.88 on a Super 4 Blackjack Progressive table game in Casino of the Earth on 12 September. 2. Silverton Casino awards $3.2 million jackpot International Game Technology PLC announced that a slot player at Silverton Casino Lodge Las Vegas won a whopping $3,225,340 jackpot on 9 June 2018 playing the Wheel of Fortune Winning Wedges video slots game. The tremendous jackpot is the largest Wheel of Fortune Slots jackpot paid out in 2018, and the largest jackpot in Silverton’s history. The winning player placed a $5.00 wager on the Wheel of Fortune Winning Wedges video slots to win the record-setting jackpot. The penny-denomination slot game’s progressive jackpot started at $500,000. The winner wished to remain anonymous. 1. $3.3 million win at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek A guest at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek celebrated Father’s Day weekend in a huge way after hitting a progressive jackpot of more than $3.3 million on IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Pink Diamond. From West Palm Beach, the guest was playing the $5 machine and had wagered a $25 bet before the jackpot was won. He wished to remain anonymous. The more than $3.3 million jackpot marks the highest payout ever for Seminole Casino Coconut Creek.
