8. $1 million San Manuel Casino became the first California casino to award a $1 million progressive jackpot from a Scientific Games product on Wednesday, 17 February. The lucky Classic Club Serrano member hit a $1 million jackpot playing Fortune Pai Gow Poker Progressive. “Nothing makes us happier than seeing our guests enjoy a life changing win,” said Kenji Hall, Chief Operating Officer of San Manuel Casino.” At San Manuel we have the most table game progressive jackpots in the country. It was only a matter of time until we had a million-dollar winner.” 7. $1,022,077 On Friday evening, 3 December, a guest at The Venetian Las Vegas who wished to remain anonymous, turned a $2 bet into more than $1 million. The guest was playing IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Double 3x4x5x Pay game when the three Wheel of Fortune symbols lined up to activate the progressive jackpot for a payout of $1,022,077.
6. $1,024,065 A Las Vegas resident turned her visit to Cannery Casino and Hotel into a million-dollar payday playing Aristocrat Gaming’s Buffalo Grand slot game early Friday, 10 September. The winner, who asked to remain anonymous, was playing Buffalo Grand at 2:19 a.m. when she made a $3.75 bet and hit the progressive jackpot totaling $1,024,065. The big win is the second major Buffalo jackpot at a Boyd Gaming property this summer. On 15 July, a visitor from Hawaii hit a progressive jackpot on a Buffalo Inferno slot game and won $646,090 after betting $15 at Fremont Hotel & Casino. 5. $1,163,526 On 13 October, a Wheel of Fortune slots player won $1,163,526 playing Wheel of Fortune 4D at Silver Star Hotel & Casino at Pearl River Resort in Choctaw, Mississippi.
4. $1,390,165 Fireworks were going off all over the Las Vegas Strip on 4 July, including at SAHARA Las Vegas, where a guest won a $1,390,165.06 jackpot. Graciela P. from Santa Clarita, California hit the progressive jackpot around 8:11 p.m. while playing Buffalo Grand. 3. $1,393,273 A Caesars Rewards member hit a Mega Progressive Jackpot on Face Up Pai Gow for $1,393,273 at Harrah's Las Vegas Casino & Hotel on Sunday, 14 November. The guest, Quoclong Pham, is a professional player from Vancouver, Washington who was in town on business and vacation. After just sitting down to play at a Face Up Pai Gow table, Pham opened his hand and was in disbelief as he became a millionaire with a Seven Card Straight Flush with a joker. His initial reaction was, “It’s just surreal. It’ll hit me tomorrow once it hits the account.” Pham has never hit a jackpot of this size before, and he planned to save his winnings. 2. $1,573,328 The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi’s Four Winds Casinos saw a guest from Bremen, Indiana win a $1,573,328 progressive jackpot on Monday, 1 March, at Four Winds South Bend. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, won the progressive jackpot playing a Scientific Games, Dancing Drums Explosion slot machine. After the win, the progressive slot machine reset for another winner to take home a $1 million progressive jackpot. 1. $1,644,349 On Sunday, 19 September, one lucky guest hit the city-wide shared “Wheel of Fortune” Progressive Jackpot at Resorts Casino Hotel. Donna of Hazlet, New Jersey became one of the biggest jackpot winners in Atlantic City of the last 10 years, hauling in $1,644,349.
