Top 10 land-based jackpot wins of 2025

As new 2026 calendars go up, many people will look back on 2025 and think about what they want to do differently in the year ahead. For others, 2025 will be remembered for a very different reason: life-changing jackpot wins.

Here’s a look at 10 jackpot winners from 2025.

10. $1.3 million
A table games player hit a $1.3 million multi-game progressive jackpot while playing at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek in Florida on 16 August.

The win came while the guest was playing Three-Card Poker and got a royal flush, winning a total of $1,331,678.

9. $1.3 million
On 13 February, a Mohegan Sun guest walked away with $1,338,736 at the Connecticut casino after playing the optional $5 Super 4 Progressive side bet on a blackjack table in Casino of the Earth.

8. $1.5 million
On 12 April, a player from California hit a jackpot at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas during the early hours of the morning, winning $1,515,034.

The player was on a Whitney Houston slots game, and won the Platinum Progressive jackpot after wagering 300 credits.

7. $2 million
A lucky Mohegan Sun guest from Connecticut struck gold in mid-July while playing on a Spanish 21 table in Casino of the Earth.

The guest was playing the optional $5 Bonus Spin Xtreme side bet and spun Triple Diamonds, which landed them $2,018,742

Not only is this the biggest jackpot win at Mohegan Sun in 2025, but it also ranks among the top five largest table game payouts in the 29-year history of the casino.

6. $2.1 million
On 2 November, a winner hit a jackpot of $2,190,214 on the $1 Million Dragon Link Progressive slot machine at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa with a $50 bet.

“It’s always remarkable when a jackpot of this magnitude is hit. Congratulations to the lucky winner!” said Joseph Wagner, Vice President & Assistant General Manager of Seminole Hard Rock Tampa. “Dragon Link continues to deliver unforgettable moments for our guests, and this win is a perfect example.”

5. $2.2 million
During the first weekend in October, a guest at The Venetian Las Vegas, who wished to remain anonymous, was playing Buffalo Power Pay and won more than $2 million from an $11.25 bet.

The guest won the Wheel Bonus on the slot machine and was awarded the Power Grand Progressive jackpot for $2,268,757.

4. $2.4 million
On 10 May, a Fontainebleau Las Vegas guest from California won the Grand Progressive jackpot worth $2,462,616 on a Frankenstein slot machine.

The guest wagered $50 on a $2 denomination, with the bonus awarded on the game’s “It’s Alive” feature.

3. $2.9 million
A New Rochelle resident hit a $2,995,532 progressive jackpot on a Wheel of Fortune Triple Stars slot machine at Empire City Casino in New York on Thursday, 25 September.

The massive prize was the largest jackpot in Empire City’s history.

2. $3.8 million
On 5 November, a guest at The Venetian Las Vegas was playing Ultimate Texas Hold’em when dealt a spade royal flush, activating the mega tier of the resort’s Millionaire Progressive.

By making the $5 side bet, the guest was eligible to win the mega tier of the Millionaire Progressive for $3,845,727, the largest table games jackpot ever paid out at the resort.

1. $12 million
A winner at Virgin River Hotel & Casino in Mesquite, Nevada turned a $5 bet into $12,371,364 jackpot in February.

The player hit the life-changing Megabucks Spitfire Multipliers Red Hot 7s jackpot on 16 February. The winner, who is not a Mesquite local, chose to keep their identity private.
