Top 10 land-based casino jackpot wins in 2024

As Christmas gifts continue to be purchased and wrapped before the holidays, many would love to have six or seven figures fall into their lap. Well, lucky winners across the U.S. experienced that thrill throughout 2024 as jackpots were hitting left and right.

Here, we take a look at some of the biggest casino wins in the last calendar year.

10. $961,428
MGM National Harbor kicked off November with a big jackpot. The guest was playing Ultimate Texas Hold’em on 3 November at the Maryland casino when he was dealt a Royal Flush of diamonds, winning $961,428.

9. $996,852
Michael D. of Naples took home a jackpot totaling $996,852.25 on 22 November at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee.

He won the jackpot on a Tree of Wealth Jade Eternity slot machine.

8. $1 million
On 21 November, during F1 Race Weekend, a guest who wished to remain anonymous was playing Dragon Link in the high-limit gaming lounge on The Palazzo casino floor at The Venetian Las Vegas.

The guest won the Grand Jackpot of $1,027,980 after placing a $50 bet.

7. $1 million
A woman from Taos County became the newest millionaire in New Mexico in mid-November after hitting a jackpot while playing the popular Buffalo Wild Extreme slot machine.

With a modest bet of just $3.75, the lucky guest struck a wide area progressive jackpot worth $1,032,690, turning her evening visit to Ohkay Hotel Casino into a life-changing moment in about a minute.

6. $1 million
One fortunate local player hit a jackpot of over $1 million at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa on 21 October.

Liz, a resident of Tampa, wagered only $25 and won a grand jackpot of $1,071,227 on a Dragon Link Golden Century slot machine.

5. $1.1 million
In late August, a lucky guest from San Francisco won $1,137,093 at Grand Lodge Casino, located in Incline Village, Nevada, near Lake Tahoe.

The winner was betting $10 on the Five Times Pay version of Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Deluxe.

4. $1.2 million
On 11 November, a guest who wished to remain anonymous was playing $1 Million Dragon Link by in the high-limit gaming lounge on The Palazzo casino floor at The Venetian Las Vegas.

The player won the Grand Jackpot for $1,218,840 from a $50 bet.

3. $1.4 million
In September at Ocean Casino Resort, a player from Morris County, New Jersey, won $1,459,533 jackpot with a single $20 bet on the Dollar Storm slot machine.

The jackpot marks one of the most significant payouts in the Atlantic City casino’s history.

2. $1.6 million
On 5 September, a Caesars Rewards member had a stroke of luck when he hit a Seven Card Straight Flush on the progressive jackpot playing Pai Gow Poker at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas.

Scott, visiting from Omaha, had been playing for an hour and a half when he struck gold, winning a whopping $1,620,470.

When asked about his initial reaction, Scott said his first thought was to call his wife. The player visited the casino that night for a football game and also stated that he plans to invest his winnings.

1. $2.8 million
A player from Plantation, Florida hit a record progressive jackpot on the Dragon Link slot machine. The $2,856,079 jackpot was won with a $250 bet at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood.

The $2,856,079 jackpot is a record in Aristocrat Gaming history and is one of the largest Seminole Gaming slot payouts of all time. The largest wide area progressive jackpot at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood hit in 2020 for $3.8 million.
