Top 10 casino openings and expansions for March 2026

Change can always be a frightening thing, especially at first, but when it comes to a casino-resort, the additions always seem to have the customer in mind. Whether it’s a new bar, restaurant, casino area, sportsbook, or spa, these property owners will do whatever they can to continue to have loyal patrons walk through their doors. Here, we take a look at 10 openings and expansions that have taken place or been announced since our last edition.

10. New dining venue at Live! Pittsburgh
Live! Casino Pittsburgh announced the opening of a new fast-casual Italian dining and market destination, Mangia featuring DeLallo, crafted for guests seeking quick and fresh Italian comfort foods.

Guests can either enjoy grabbing homemade favorites on the go, or dining in a casual setting with craft cocktails, wines, and Italian sodas. Mangia is scheduled to open in April and will be located at the front entrance to Live! Casino and will be accessible to guests of all ages.

The Mangia Express window will provide access directly from the casino floor and allow guests to get all of their favorite foods, plus a selection of hand-crafted Illy coffee and espresso products, including cappuccino, lattes, and more.

9. Coushatta Casino Resort’s new hotel tower
Last week, the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana announced that its new hotel tower will open in May at Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Louisiana.

The eight-story expansion will introduce 204 guest rooms and 100 luxury suites, directly connected to the existing resort and just steps from the gaming floor, dining, entertainment and resort amenities. Upon completion, the addition will bring the resort's total inventory to more than 1,000 guest rooms.

8. WinStar World Casino’s new Baccarat Salon
WinStar World Casino and Resort in Oklahoma is inviting guests to experience elevated play at its new Baccarat Salon.

The 1,350-square-foot space features an expanded selection of eight new Baccarat tables, including five Mini Baccarat tables offering the Dragon Bonus side bet and three Dai Baccarat tables. The new space also includes a charging station for players to utilize.

7. Caesars Sportsbook at The Resort at Summerlin
In early March, Caesars Entertainment celebrated the official grand opening of Caesars Race & Sportsbook at The Resort at Summerlin, marking the city’s first retail Caesars Sportsbook location. The opening included a ribbon cutting ceremony with former Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Deryk Engelland, who placed a ceremonial first bet.

On the casino floor, the nearly 6,000-square-foot sportsbook currently features a new video wall and will add a 360-degree LED video display at the expanded sportsbook bar, scheduled for completion ahead of summer 2026. Twenty Caesars Sportsbook self-service betting kiosks are located inside the sportsbook and throughout the casino.

6. Acorn Ridge Casino opening
Acorn Ridge Casino in Northern California officially opened its doors to the public on 24 February.

The 60,000 square foot property boasts an outdoor entertainment venue, a full gaming experience with 484 slot machines and 12 table games, as well as a farm-to-fork dining experience at the casino’s flagship restaurant, Stone Creek Kitchen.

Patrons can enjoy a beverage at Old Roots Bar or from one of the casino’s mobile beverage carts on the gaming floor that offers specialty, hand-crafted cocktails, glasses of wine and beer.

5. New suites at Green Valley Ranch
Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa and Casino in Nevada debuted its reimagined West Tower luxury suites, capping the completion of the West Tower’s full renovation as part of the property’s landmark multi-phase, $200 million transformation which includes all 71 luxury suites and 422 rooms as work continues on its East Tower set to unveil later this year.

Perched on the second floor of the West Tower, Green Valley Ranch’s two-bedroom Strip Suite spans 2,790 square feet with commanding 180-degree views of the Las Vegas Strip.

The pair of spacious one-bedroom Luxury Patio Suites, each spanning 1,190 square feet includes a spacious foyer leading to a living area that features plush seating, a walk-around bar, and dining accommodations for entertaining.

4. Hollywood Casino Aurora opening on 24 June
PENN Entertainment expects to open the new land-based Hollywood Casino - Aurora to the public on 24 June. This will be the second new PENN property to open in the Chicagoland region following the grand opening of the land-based Hollywood Casino Joliet in August 2025.

The new $360 million property will feature a hotel, more than 1,200 gaming positions, a retail sportsbook, outdoor entertainment area, full-service spa, bars and restaurants, a 12,000 square foot event center and approximately 1,700 parking spaces.

Hollywood Casino Aurora will include an upscale 226-room hotel offering a variety of standard rooms and suites, as well as a beauty and wellness space, Drift Spa.

3. Bally’s Marquette grand opening
Earlier this month, Bally’s Corporation and community leaders celebrated a historic milestone when Bally’s Marquette opened its $26.2 million land-based gaming and entertainment destination. The event marked the property’s transition from its longtime riverboat home on the Mississippi River to a 31,280-square-foot permanent, modern facility.

The full-service land-based destination introduces a two-level gaming floor featuring more than 400 slot machines and electronic table games, along with live blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and a sportsbook featuring betting windows and kiosks.

In addition, 1994 Sports Bar offers a sports-focused atmosphere with multiple televisions showing live games. Sidecar Bar features hand-crafted cocktails and bar-top gaming in a lounge-style setting, while Benchfront Coffee serves specialty coffee drinks, breakfast items and light fare throughout the day. Riverside Grill rounds out the lineup with fast-casual American favorites including burgers, sandwiches, flatbreads and weekend comfort-food specials.

2. Planet Hollywood coming to Tbilisi
Last Monday, Planet Hollywood Resorts International announced its plans to debut in Tbilisi, Georgia, bringing its globally recognized brand to the market through a newly executed license agreement with Orbi Group and Block Group.

This milestone project will introduce the nation's first fully integrated resort. Currently under construction in the heart of Tbilisi, the development is part of a 1,200-room, two-tower luxury campus featuring a 500-room Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino and a 600-room Radisson Blu luxury hotel. The destination will include a 50,000-square-foot casino, a 4,000-seat entertainment and special events venue, more than 70,000 square feet of Harvey Nichols retail, and a mix of international dining, nightlife, and lifestyle offerings.

1. Graton Resort and Casino’s major expansion
Graton Resort & Casino in California will debut the next phase of its $1 billion expansion on 4 May. New offerings include a collection of original food and beverage concepts led by award-winning chef Roy Ellamar and VP of Culinary Operations Jennifer Murphy-Ellamar, highlighted by the resort’s first rooftop restaurant, a sports bar, and an artisanal doughnut and dessert shop. Also debuting is a new 144,000-square-foot, fully non-smoking gaming floor.

Playbook Sports Bar will introduce a new game-day destination to Sonoma County, pairing wall-to-wall screens and large-format viewing with comfort food and a social atmosphere. The 168-seat venue will feature expansive screens throughout the space, including a halo screen, along with individual TVs at tables for a more personalized viewing experience.

At the heart of the 4 May opening is a new 144,000-square-foot, non-smoking casino. The wing will house a poker room, a high-limit slots lounge, and nearly 2,000 new slot machines – including yet-to-be-released games making their global debut.
