Top 10 casino openings and expansions for February 2025

From celebrity chef-endorsed burgers to new casinos and major renovations, the gaming industry continues to see a surge of activity. This month’s roundup covers 10 of the most noteworthy developments across the country, highlighting the latest flurry of casino expansions, unveilings, and upgrades across the U.S.

10. Gordon Ramsay Burger opens on Las Vegas Strip
Celebrated chef and TV personality Gordon Ramsay hosted a special event on 17 January to commemorate the grand opening of the second Gordon Ramsay Burger location on the Strip at Flamingo Las Vegas.

Signature menu items exclusively available at the Flamingo Las Vegas location include the Cluck Yeah G.F.C. (Gordon’s Fried Chicken) Sandwich with crispy chicken tossed in spicy GFC signature sauce, red cabbage slaw and pickled red onions on a pink brioche bun.

Guests can also indulge in the 99 Flake Shake, a vanilla shake with waffle cone pieces, Flake chocolate bar (a popular British chocolate bar) and chocolate fudge.

9. Macau Kitchen Restaurant and Bar
On 1 February, Bally's Dover Casino Resort in Delaware celebrated the official grand opening of Macau Kitchen Restaurant & Bar with a memorable event.

The event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, an engaging meet-and-greet with the culinary team, and a traditional lion dance performed by Lee’s Lion Club.

Macau Kitchen showcased a diverse menu that celebrated cultural heritage and bold flavors featuring signature dishes such as Wonton Soup, Vietnamese Pho with house-made broth, Macau’s Combination Lo Mein, and Seafood Pan-Fried Noodles. Diners also had the opportunity to pair their meals with modern craft cocktails, a curated wine list, international beers, a variety of bubble teas, and house-made desserts including ube or yuzu cheesecake.

8. Grant Road Casino groundbreaking
On 14 January, the Pascua Yaqui Tribe celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Casino Del Sol - Grant Road, marking the beginning of a transformative development for Tucson and the surrounding region.

The new 172,000 square-foot property will include a casino, restaurants, a parking structure, and space for future expansion.

The 73,000 square-foot casino floor will house gaming tables, a high-limit room, a sportsbook, and a poker room.

7. Caspian’s Cocktails and Caviar
Caspian’s Cocktails & Caviar at Caesars Palace, Clique Hospitality’s caviar bar and live music speakeasy, officially opened its doors on 20 December, just in time to host a New Year’s Eve celebration.

Caspian’s will be the home of “rock and roe” with live rock music performances in the speakeasy Tuesday through Saturday and Caviar Karaoke on Thursday with a live band.

Guests can bite into the crabby caviar tacos, packed with Kaluga caviar, blue crab, dill chimichurri and pickled red onion; mini-Maine lobster rolls, with Maine lobster salad, caviar and lemon on a buttery brioche; or oysters on the half served with caviar bumps, available by the half or whole dozen.

6. MGM Grand room remodel
Last month, MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas revealed details surrounding its $300 million remodel encompassing all of the hotel's 4,212 rooms and suites within its main tower, set for completion by December 2025.

The first phase of the main tower's newly remodeled rooms will be available for reservation beginning 1 March.

With this remodel, MGM Grand will add 111 suites to its main tower for a total of 753, ranging in size from 675 to 2,572 square feet.

5. Golden Nugget Atlantic City reopens sportsbook
Golden Nugget – Atlantic City reopened its sportsbook on 29 January, just in time for the Super Bowl.

The upgraded sportsbook, located off the Main Atrium, boasts over 50 TVs, five video walls, and numerous self-betting kiosks.

4. Comanche Cache Casino expansion
After a year of transformative renovations, Comanche Cache Casino in Oklahoma will officially reopen its doors on 21 February, unveiling an expanded gaming floor and new amenities as part of its phase two development.

The following week, the property will celebrate another milestone with the grand opening of Oklahoma’s first Wahlburgers restaurant on 27 February.

The opening will unveil a range of enhancements, including an expanded gaming floor featuring over 300 slot machines, a new open-air veranda and a convenience store and gas station.

3. Seminole Hard Rock Tampa enhancements
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa unveiled over $65 million in resort enhancements.

The upgrades rolled out this month, with Fresh Harvest Buffet reopening and the new gaming area unveiling on 23 January, and newly renovated smoke-free hotel rooms available for booking now.

The revamped gaming floor features nearly 350 state-of-the-art slot machines with a mix of popular themes. The new gaming area offers machines with denominations ranging from 1 cent to $5, with max bets up to $100.

2. Seminole Brighton Bay opening
The new Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino in Florida opened its doors on 6 February, following a grand opening celebration featuring a special performance by country music artist John Anderson.

Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino includes a casino with a total of nearly 38,000 square feet, including space for 640 slot machines and 18 tables for blackjack, craps, roulette, and other card games, along with high-stakes bingo action.

Included is a smoke-free gaming space with 104 slot machines and a high-limit gaming area with 42 slot machines and four table games.

Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino includes the first hotel to open on the Brighton Seminole Reservation. It features 100 guest rooms on four floors, totaling 72,000 square feet.

1. Live! Casino and Hotel grand opening in Louisiana
The Cordish Companies will welcome the public to experience Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana for the first time at the grand opening on Thursday.

Some of the highlights of the new resort include:

- 47,000 square feet of state-of-the-art gaming space
- More than 1,000 slots and electronic table games
- Over 40 live-action table games
- Dedicated high-limit room
- A sportsbook
- Luxury, 12-story, 549-room Live! Hotel with resort-style pool and fitness center
- A 31-site RV park with concrete pads and full hook-ups

Immediately following a ceremonial VIP ribbon-cutting ceremony and fireworks display, the doors will officially open to unveil Louisiana’s new $270+ million gaming and entertainment destination, featuring Shreveport-Bossier’s first land-side casino.
