Top 10 2023 casino New Year’s Eve parties

It’s Christmas, and as we unwrap our presents, we turn our attention to next week.

On Sunday night, casino resorts across the U.S. are set to host extravagant New Year’s Eve events to help welcome in 2024. Let’s take a look at 10 to highlight this year.

10. Mandalay Bay
S Bar Las Vegas, the upscale lounge inside Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, will ring in the New Year.

Beginning at 9 p.m., doors will open to the public with VIP table seating, starting at a $300 per person table minimum which includes S Bar’s signature cocktails and dishes.

There is general admission starting at $200 per person, which includes a hosted bar and passed hors d'oeuvres from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.

A champagne toast will be served at midnight to culminate the night’s festivities. The party will include live entertainment and surprises throughout the evening.

9. The Venetian Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Strip is going to be filled with entertainment all weekend and The Venetian Las Vegas is ready to go.

The Black Eyed Peas will hit The Venetian Theater at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas on Saturday, 30 December and Sunday, 31 December. Nearby at the resort, pop vocalist Christina Aguilera kicks off a limited engagement at Voltaire Belle de Nuit with shows on Saturday, 30 December and Sunday, 31 December.

The resort’s TAO Nightclub is also expecting sets by Whoo Kid on Saturday, 30 December and O.T. Genasis on Sunday, 31 December for guests to end 2023 with.

8. Harrah’s Cherokee
Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in North Carolina has a few different offerings for this year’s event.

On Sunday, drawings for the Spin to Win challenge will be held hourly from noon to 4 p.m. at Myst Bar for five lucky guests to win up to 12,600 in free play or $1,000,000.

Wicked Weed will also host a New Year’s party with live music from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. from Kayla McKinney and late-night DJ Burr, food and drink, midnight ball drop, dancing and more.

At a special rate of $1,299, guests will receive a guaranteed hotel room on 31 December at the resort, plus entrance to the VIP party complete with an open bar, live entertainment, buffet and giveaway items.

7. Plaza Hotel and Casino
Located in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas, the Plaza Hotel and Casino will celebrate New Year’s Eve with a full evening of celebrations in Las Vegas style.

The night will be complete with a delicious dinner at Oscar’s Steakhouse, live entertainment, complimentary champagne toasts, and Downtown’s only live fireworks show at midnight on Sunday, 31 December.

Carousel Bar will offer a location to celebrate with handcrafted cocktails, and just steps away from the best vantage point downtown to watch the fireworks, the portion of Main Street in front of the Plaza that will be closed to vehicles during the show.

Before the fireworks, Oscar’s will offer a three-course meal in addition to its regular steak and seafood menu. Restaurant diners will enjoy a complimentary champagne toast at midnight while watching the fireworks show from under the dining room’s glass dome.

6. Rivers Casino Philadelphia
The Golden Gala at Rivers Casino Philadelphia will usher in the new year by featuring live music, an all-you-can-eat menu, an open bar and a midnight champagne toast. An Earth, Wind & Fire tribute band, Let’s Groove Tonight, will play solid-gold hits at the Event Center party.

Guests can also enjoy a three-course prix fixe menu at Martorano’s Prime before partying at the gala and hoping to win their share of the $48,000 Gold Bar Giveaway all weekend.

The dining experience at Martorano’s Prime is $165 per person and features the below:
  • Appetizer: Famous Meatball Salad, stuffed Italian long hot peppers or fried mozzarella
  • Entree: Grilled eight-ounce filet mignon Sinatra, linguine scampi, pan-seared herb-crusted Chilean seabass or chicken cutlet Martorano
  • Sides: Broccoli rabe, asparagus, or fingerling potatoes and onions
  • Dessert: Cheesecake, pistachio cake or tiramisu

5. Palms Casino Resort
Head up 55 floors at Palms Casino Resort to Ghostbar, where guests will be able to take part in festivities and take in some of the best views of fireworks that Las Vegas has to offer.

With doors opening up at 9 p.m., guests can pick from two different ticket packages. For $95, the entry ticket will include two drinks, and for $185, four drinks will be included. If your group is looking for something bigger like reserving a table either inside or outside, those are starting at $1,000.

4. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is ready for an entire weekend of activities. Stand-up comic Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias will play at The Chelsea at on Friday, 29 December and Saturday, 30 December. Pop star Demi Lovato will perform at the venue for the year-closing show on Sunday, 31 December.

Guests can make their way over to Marquee Nightclub which will present a set by Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’s DJ Pauly D on Sunday, 31 December.

In addition, the Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will feature its annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks Viewing Party, which features an open bar, DJ set, skate rentals and a complimentary midnight champagne toast.

3. Rio Hotel & Casino
Under new ownership, Rio Hotel & Casino is gearing up to host a lineup of New Year's Eve festivities to ring in 2024.

Located just off the Strip, visitors and locals alike will be able to celebrate with a Prix Fixe menu or attend a firework viewing party overlooking the Las Vegas skyline at VooDoo Steakhouse and VooDoo Lounge.

Before the fireworks, a culinary option is available for purchase at VooDoo Steakhouse. Opt for either the 5 p.m. or 7 p.m. seating and enjoy a special Prix Fixe menu at $150 per person. You can enhance your dining experience with a $30 per person wine pairing.

2. Durango Resort Casino
After opening on 5 December, Durango Resort Casino is ready to end 2023 with a bang.

As you plan for a memorable New Year’s Eve weekend, consider Nicco’s special menu for 31 December, available from 4 p.m. to midnight.

The meal begins with Oysters Rockefeller, featuring broiled Island Creek Oysters complemented by a spinach gremolata. The journey continues with the main course—a 16oz USDA Prime Smoked Prime Rib served with Yorkshire Pudding and Au Jus for $75. Finally, hit dessert with the Black Forest Cake, a chocolate layer cake with Luxardo cherries, priced at $15.

Opening at 9 p.m. for the holiday festivities, Bel-Aire Lounge will be filled with live entertainment by DJ Sax Duo Roger & Roco. Guests will be invited to dress to the nines at the new cocktail bar and groove their way into the New Year with an open bar and a celebratory champagne toast at midnight.

1. Fontainebleau Las Vegas
The newest Las Vegas resort is up and running after opening its doors officially on 13 December.

The 67-story resort will celebrate its first New Year’s Eve on the Las Vegas Strip this weekend. Fontainebleau Las Vegas will serve as a destination for the Strip’s annual New Year’s Eve “America’s Party” fireworks festivities, with a pyrotechnics display to be launched from the resort’s rooftop just before midnight on 31 December.

LIV is the new nightclub option at Fontainebleau Las Vegas and will celebrate its inaugural New Year’s weekend on the Strip with three nights of performances from John Summit and Fontainebleau Las Vegas BleauLive Theater New Year’s Eve headliner Post Malone.
