  Casino City's Week 10 NFL Circa Million IV Pro Football Contest Picks11 November 2022
Still in search of a perfect 5-0 week, let’s jump into our choices for this weekend.
1. Seattle +3 over Tampa Bay Let's head to Germany, where if you told us at the beginning of the season that the Seahawks would be catching less than a TD in this game and have more wins than Tom Brady and the Bucs then we would have laughed at you like we were in the front row of a Bill Burr concert. But here we are with both teams sitting atop their respective divisions as the Seahawks come in at 6-3 and Tampa Bay at 4-5. Honestly, if you just look at the numbers and not what was expected from these two teams entering the season, there's no way the Bucs are laying three points here on a neutral field. At this point of the season, the Seahawks have been the better team in almost every facet of the game. They also have a huge head coaching advantage, which is crucial for these games played on foreign soil, as future Hall of Famer Pete Carroll is 2-0 in games played outside the U.S. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay's Todd Bowles has proven once again this year that he's much better suited as a coordinator rather than the head honcho. While TB12 will get all of the attention in Munich, we'll go to the window and bet Seattle knowing that rejuvenated Seahawks QB Geno Smith is 12-3 against the spread in his last 15 games as an underdog. Get up early on Sunday (kickoff is at 6:30 a.m. Las Vegas time), hoist yourself a Schneider Weisse and take the points.
2. Dallas -4.5 over Green Bay The Dallas Cowboys have the third-best scoring defense in the league, only giving up 16.6 points per contest. If you have watched the Green Bay Packers at all this season, you can tell that this doesn’t look like a typical Aaron Rodgers’ offense. The only player Rodgers seems to trust and get consistent production out of is RB Aaron Jones, who suffered an injury last week and is still dealing with it despite being expected to play. Receivers Sammy Watkins and Allen Lazard are both also dealing with health issues heading into this week’s matchup at Lambeau Field. As if the Packers’ offense didn’t have enough problems, now Rodgers could be with “weapons” that are not 100% against one of the top defenses in the NFL. Don’t be surprised to see Micah Parsons in the backfield all afternoon Sunday coming up with QB pressures, tackles for a loss, and sacks.
3. Kansas City -9.5 over Jacksonville Sure, it’s November, but it might as well be the middle of the summer! Just like sharks, the Chiefs can smell blood in the water and they’re going to make a statement this weekend. Unfortunately for the Jaguars, they’re the prey, and they can blame Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen’s elbow. The Bill’s signal caller is dealing with an ulnar collateral ligament injury, and as a result Kansas City is going to go out of its way to remind everyone that the road to the Super Bowl in the AFC still goes through the GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. And who better to remind everyone than all-world, video-game esque quarterback Patrick Mahomes. According to most analysts’ mid-season reports, Mahomes is the MVP as he leads the league in passing touchdowns and yards with 21 and 2,605 respectively. Add in wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and seven-time Pro Bowler tight end Travis Kelce on offense, and the Chiefs are going to make the Jaguars wish they never dipped their toes in the water. 4. Chicago -3 over Detroit After a difficult start to the season, the Bears’ offense seems to have figured a few things out and have begun to roll. Over the last three weeks, Chicago is averaging 31 points per game led by last week’s NFC Offensive Player of the Week Justin Fields, who has had more designed runs called for him in the last three games than he did in his first 16 career starts. The dual-threat QB has been all over the field and broke the most rushing yards in a single game by a QB last week with 178 yards. The Lions, a dome team that’s never fared very well in windy and cold Soldier FIeld (3-7 ATS in last 10 trips), have experienced struggles on defense all year, besides last week when they played the horrific offense of Green Bay. If Detroit doesn’t contain Fields from escaping the pocket, it could be a long afternoon in Chicago.
5. New York Giants -4.5 over Houston Some might have predicted the Houston Texas to be sitting at the bottom of the NFL with a 1-6-1 record, but I doubt many had the Giants sitting at 6-2 currently with a comfortable lead on a wild card spot. Coming off the bye week, the Giants will return to action against the bottom of the barrel and should walk away holding a 7-2 record. WR Kenny Golladay is set to return to action and the pass catcher is hoping to win some fans back and prove that he is worth his $72 million contract. Even if the offense isn’t clicking for New York, the Texans’ offense hasn’t shown many examples of being a threat as Houston manages only 16 points per game as a team.
