Casino City’s Friday Five: Jackpots, fines, and WSOP Online edition

19 September 2025

Gambling regulators continue to crack down on illegal operations and violations and this week was no different from the U.K. Gambling Commission. Before we get into that, we have a pair of jackpots that need our attention, along with a Las Vegas casino changing up its gaming floor and the WSOP Online fall schedule being released.

Let’s begin with a major win from the Las Vegas Strip:

5. Paris Las Vegas awards massive poker jackpot
A Caesars Rewards member from California walked away with $471,316 after hitting a mega jackpot at Paris Las Vegas on Monday.

Lien played for three hours before hitting the jackpot with a seven-card straight flush. She was in town for the Las Vegas Raiders home game.

4. Two Mohegan Sun guests win $1.3 million in jackpots
Earlier this month, two Mohegan Sun guests each won $650,000+ jackpots that totaled more than $1.3 million.

On 6 September, a Connecticut resident was playing on a Whitney Houston slot machine in Casino of the Sky when they hit the Grand Progressive Jackpot for $659,570.73. The lucky guest was betting $50 per spin.

A day later, a $5 side bet turned into a $669,412 jackpot for a guest at the Connecticut casino. The Connecticut resident was playing at a blackjack table in Casino of the Earth when they hit the Super 4 Royal Flush Progressive Jackpot.

The Super 4 Progressive side bet is offered on all blackjack tables at Mohegan Sun and is triggered when the dealer’s hand is a blackjack; the amount of the payout is dependent on the value and suit of both the player’s and dealer’s hands. This guest hit the top jackpot which requires the four cards in the hand to be A, K, Q, and J of diamonds.

3. Lottomart agrees to regulatory settlement
Online gambling business Maple International Ventures Limited is to pay £360,000 after a U.K. Gambling Commission investigation revealed social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures.

The operator, which runs the casino and betting website Lottomart.com, will pay the money as part of a settlement with the UKGC.

All £360,000 will go to socially responsible causes.

2. Golden Gate hotel and Casino launches futuristic gaming floor
The Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas’ oldest operating casino, is making history once again.

The property has partnered exclusively with Interblock, the world leader in luxury electronic table games, to transform its casino floor into the first downtown table games pit powered entirely by ETGs.

The new ETG zone will feature a mix of Interblock’s latest craps, roulette, and blackjack titles.
Each title is designed to feel authentic: Craps features dice that bounce higher depending on how firmly players hit the bash button, while the roulette ball spins dramatically in front of players’ eyes.

1. Caesars unveils WSOP Online 2025 fall bracelet schedule
This year’s WSOP Online fall schedule features 33 bracelet events and marks the first time the fall online series will operate with pooled liquidity across four U.S. jurisdictions: Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

The series kicks off with Event #1: NL Hold'em $300K GTD Mystery Bounty and includes fan favorites such as Event #16: NL Hold'em $500K GTD Mystery Bounty Championship on 12 October, Event #25: $1,000 Online Championship on 2 November, and Event #32: $3,200 NL Hold’em High Roller Championship on 9 November.

All bracelet and circuit ring winners will receive a $5,000 WSOP Paradise package, which includes hotel accommodation and entry into Event #1: Circuit Championship Mystery Bounty No-limit Hold’em, which features a $5 million guarantee.
