Carruthers sentenced to 33 months in prison8 January 2010
Former BetOnSports CEO David Carruthers was sentenced Friday to 33 months in prison for racketeering conspiracy related to BetOnSports accepting sports bets from American residents over the phone and Internet.
Carruthers is a British citizen and became the CEO of BetOnSports in 2000. He was arrested in July of 2006 by FBI agents at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. ... (read more)
WSOP boots $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event from 2010 schedule17 December 2009
The World Series of Poker released the schedule for the 2010 WSOP Thursday, and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. tournament is no longer on it. In its place is the $50,000 Player's Championship.
