in 1984 the state Casino Control Commission said there were 1,165 table games

Convention Center Proposal Outlined13 March 2004
The results of a five-month study and analysis for a proposed Tunica Convention
Center and hotel have been outlined in a public presentation made by PricewaterhouseCooper
LLP recently. While there appears to be a lot of support for the development,
challenges and financing are a combination that will not make for an easy decision

We heard that PRICE WATERHOUSE COOPERS would unveil a study to Tunica County execs
that we predict will recommend a convention center on Highway 61 of more than
200,000 square feet at a cost up to an estimated $40 million. It would include
a much-needed hotel from 300 to 500 rooms. The location is said to be across from
