Federal judge blocks N.J. sports betting

U.S. District Judge Michael Shipp issued a temporary restraining order on Friday blocking a New Jersey law that allows legal betting on sporting events. Monmouth Park, which has partnered with William Hill, had planned to offer the opportunity to bet on Sunday's NFL games, but was not able to do so as a result of the restraining order.  read more
