24 July 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The 2017-2018 Seminole Hard Rock Poker season begins 1 September 2017, at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee with WPTDeepStacks, poker's premier mid-major tournament circuit. The third annual WPTDeepStacks Immokalee series features a $1,100 buy-in Main Event that boasts a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool, matching the largest poker guarantee in Southwest Florida history. The finale is eligible in both WPTDeepStacks and Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year races.

During WPTDeepStacks Immokalee, tournaments will run daily from 1-10 September. The WPTDeepStacks Immokalee series features five primary events, in addition to a number of side events and satellites.

Kicking off the WPTDeepStacks Immokalee action is a multi-day, $350 buy-in event with a $30,000 guaranteed prize pool. The $1,100 Main Event begins Saturday, 8 September and is anticipated to be one of the most well-attended events in Southwest Florida poker history. In addition to taking home the lion's share of the prize pool, the winner of the WPTDeepStacks Immokalee $1,100 Main Event will earn a $3,000 package to the WPTDeepStacks Championship, the tour's season-ending event.

"Bringing a global brand like WPTDeepStacks to Southwest Florida is something no other property in the Southwest Florida region is offering," said Rick O'Connell, Seminole Casino Hotel Poker Manager. "Chris Torina and the entire WPTDeepStacks team has done an amazing job growing the brand and expanding its presence not only in North America, but in Europe as well. We're proud to be able to put Immokalee on the worldwide map and to bring a one-of-a-kind experience to our guests."

In addition to the featured events, a nightly turbo series allows participants to accumulate points towards the Turbo Series Leaderboard. The top earner on the Turbo Series Leaderboard will be awarded a $1,100 seat to the WPTDeepStacks Immokalee Main Event.

"The Southwest region of Florida is overflowing with passionate poker players, and there is a lot of untapped talent that WPTDeepStacks is looking forward to showcasing on its global stage," said Chris Torina, WPTDeepStacks Executive Director. "We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee, and we are excited to return to such a beautiful property.
