Three-way chop determines Pala's 10K Championship

PALA, Calif. (PRESS RELEASE) -- Chip leader Show Lee of Diamond Bar, Calif., took home $3,000 after a three-way chop Sunday determined the winner of the 10K Championship poker tournament at Pala Casino Resort and Spa. Lee also will have his named engraved on the Pala Signature Cup and his photo will be published in Card Player magazine.

The $10,000 prize pool tournament hosted 68 entrants. Ten players made the final table, which played to the final three.

The next End of the Month Nooner Championship will be increased to $15K and will be played Sunday, Sept. 29. Registration will be accepted until 2 p.m. The entry fee will be $120 with a $15,000 guarantee. There will be two optional $25 re-buys or add-ons. The winner's name will be engraved on the Pala Signature Cup and the winner's photo will be published in Card Player Magazine.

5K Nooner tournaments will continue each Sunday in September with registration until 2 p.m. The entry will be $50 + $15 with a $5,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players will start with $5,000 in chips and there will be an optional $10 staff bonus buy for an additional $2,000 in chips. There will be one, $25 re-buy offered in the first four levels for $3,000 in chips. There will be late and re-entries for four levels. Blinds will be 30 minutes for four levels and 20 minutes thereafter. Those who play live poker from 8 a.m. to noon each Sunday will receive $500 in bonus chips for the 5K Nooner tournaments for each hour played.
