The Meadows ups the ante with slot tournament

26 August 2013

WASHINGTON, Penn. (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Meadows Racetrack and Casino announced the kickoff of ITS $250,000 slot tournament with multi-day satellite tournaments leading up to the main event scheduled for Dec. 14.

The Washington County entertainment facility has increased the overall prize pool by $50,000 from previous slot tournaments, again claiming the designation as Pennsylvania's largest slot tournament.

"The Meadows slot tournaments have been an extremely popular venue for our guests," said Sean Sullivan, vice president and general manager of The Meadows. "These tournaments add an enhanced level of excitement to their entertainment experience."

The $250,000 slot tournament is open to the public and will consist of three satellite tournaments with a maximum of 1,008 players for each event, all playing 24 designated machines within the casino. The top 200 players from each satellite tournament will advance to the main event. The top 21 players in the opening round, along with the three satellite winners, will play in the grand prize round.
