Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board releases August 2022 gaming revenue report26 September 2022(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported today that the combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming along with fantasy contests during August 2022 was $425,390,202 an increase of 4.24% compared to revenue generated in August 2021. Sources of gaming revenue regulated by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board include slot machines, table games, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests and video gaming terminals. The following chart compiles all revenue generated in August 2022 by casinos along with fantasy contests and video gaming terminals operated by other vendors and includes a comparison to total revenue generated last August. The number of slot machines in operation in August 2022 was 25,595 compared to 26,017 at the casinos in August 2021. By the close of August 2022, four VGT Terminal Operators were operating the maximum permitted five machines at 66 truck stop establishments.
