Styx in concert at Pala Casino Spa and Resort7 October 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Styx, the legendary rockers who combined hard and pop rock into an international music genre, will perform in concert at 7:30 pm., Saturday, 21 January, 2017, in the Events Center, and Grand Sonic Theory, one of San Diego's top cover bands, will host the New Year's Eve party, starting at 9 p.m., Saturday, 31 December, in the Infinity Showroom at Pala Casino Spa and Resort. Tickets for both shows, Styx, $75, $65, $55, and New Year's Eve, $35, go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, 14 October, with no service charge, at the Pala box office, at the Pala website and by calling 1-877-946-7252. Tickets also will be available at the Star Tickets website and 1-800-585-3737. All New Year's Eve tickets will be reserved seating and the Infinity Showroom doors will open at 8 p.m. Styx flashed on the rock scene in the 1970s and has had five consecutive albums certified multi-platinum by the RIAA and 16 Top 40 singles. The band is best known for "Lady," "Come Sail Away," "Babe," "The Best of Times," "Too Much Time on My Hands" and "Mr. Roboto." Other major hit singles include "Show Me The Way," "Don't Let It End," "Renegade" and "Boat On The River," which also became a big hit throughout Europe and Japan.
