Spa Resort Casino GM named16 May 2008PALM SPRINGS, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -– Veteran casino executive and long-time Agua Caliente team member Jeffrey Pepple has been appointed General Manager at Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs. Pepple was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. He graduated from the University of Nevada at Reno with a degree in Finance, quickly putting that education to work in the gaming industry. For more than 25 years, Pepple has worked with industry giants such as Harrah's, Peppermill and the Boomtown organization, now known as Pinnacle Entertainment. With Boomtown, Pepple served for 10 years, five at the company's Reno property, and five as Director of Finance at the company's New Orleans property which he helped build and open. Pepple first joined the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians as Director of Finance at Spa Resort Casino in 1999. He later served as Assistant General Manager and Interim General Manager for that casino, as well as Chief Administrative Officer at the Tribal level. In August of 2006, Pepple joined sister property Agua Caliente Casino • Resort • Spa in Rancho Mirage as Assistant General Manager, helping to oversee the transformation of the casino in a world-class resort with the grand opening of its new $350M hotel complex last month. Chief Operating Officer David Fendrick says Pepple is a key member of his management team. "We are very fortunate to have Jeff on our team and are pleased to promote him to the position of General Manager. The skills and experience he brings to the table will contribute a great deal to our ongoing success." Pepple also holds a Certified Management Accountant credential and has served as President of the Reno chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. He has been a speaker on numerous boards and panels at accounting and gaming seminars. |
