Sherwood Valley Rancheria Casino postpones reopening

13 June 2020

Sherwood Valley Rancheria Casino announced that it is not ready to reopen the casino to the public on 17 June. Below is the official statement posted on the California casino's website.

"In an abundance of caution, and with the health and safety of the Tribe, our Team Members and the community we reside in mind, it has been decided to postpone the casino’s reopening to the general public on June 17th, 2020 until further notice. This decision was not an easy. It was one that considered the ever-changing situation that we and the community as a whole is in with the COVID-19 Pandemic. This includes the recent report of new cases in Mendocino County, the reports of possible infectious contact with others at a number of gaming properties in the nation, and the recent new surge of cases in a number of states in the country.

At this time, we do not have a specific date to reopen but will let you know when that date is as soon as we can.

If you have received an offer in the mail for the June 17th reopening please know that we will honor those offers once we reopen.

We understand this must be very frustrating and disappointing for you, and it is just as difficult for us, but when we open we want to make your stay at Sherwood Valley Casino the safest and most enjoyable experience possible. We will update you on social media and our website when this situation changes, so please keep a look out.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding."
