Seminole Casino Immokalee releases August entertainment schedule

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Seminole Casino Immokalee is pleased to release its special events schedule for August 2015.

Seminole Casino Immokalee and 96K Rock to Host Battle of the Bands Throughout August: Saturdays in August

Seminole Casino Immokalee will host a battle of the bands series throughout August. The four-part competition will begin Saturday, August 1, with a performance by popular rock band Trapt at 8 p.m. in the Seminole Center. Opening act will be Sons of Texas. The battle will be hosted by Jeff Zito of 96K Rock, Southwest Florida’s rock station. Bands interested in participating should contact Zito at Jeff.Zito@bbgi.com.

Three different bands will compete each week from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and battles will start on Saturday, August 8, and compete every Saturday through August 22. The winner from each week will compete in the finale Saturday, August 29. 96K Rock will award the overall winner $5,000 and studio time and airplay. All four battles will take place in the Zig Zag Lounge.

Charity Slot Tournament Benefitting Harry Chapin Food Bank: Wednesday, August 12

Enjoy an exciting slot tournament while supporting Southwest Florida’s only food bank, Harry Chapin Food Bank, in a special charity slot tournament Wednesday, August 12. The charity slot tournament is open to all existing and new Players Club members. The cost to participate is $10 per person and benefits the Harry Chapin Food Bank. There will be four winners who share in 50 percent of the prize pool with the other 50 percent going to the charity.

The Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida was opened in 1983. Formerly known as the Lee County Food Cooperative, the Harry Chapin Food Bank has served as the only food bank in Southwest Florida. The food bank provides food for more than 30,000 individuals each month. In fiscal year 2013-2014, the Harry Chapin Food Bank distributed 18.7 million pounds of food, provided 15.5 million meals, and turned every $1 into $6 worth of food for those in need. WPTDeepStacks-Immokalee, the First WPT Poker Tour Event in Southwest Florida comes to Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee: September 11 to September 20

WPTDeepStacks, the premier mid-major poker tour in industry, created by World Poker Tour and DeepStacks Poker Tour, will make its first stop in Southwest Florida this September. This historical tournament marks the first time a WPTDeepStacks event has held an event in Southwest Florida.

WPTDeepStacks-Immokalee will run September 11 to September 20 and feature a $1,100 buy-in Main Event with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. The tournament kicks off Friday, September 11 with a $350 buy-in no limit Hold'em tournament boasting a $30,000 guaranteed prize pool.
