Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee spreading holiday cheer with charity initiatives15 December 2015(PRESS RELEASE) -- Seminole Casino Hotel Hotel Immokalee is spreading holiday cheer this season with a toy drive, charity slot tournament and military card drop off. Each year, Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee hosts a toy drive benefiting the Guadalupe Center. This year marks the fifth year, and the casino doubled its usual donation of 200 toys and donated 400 new toys that will be distributed throughout the Immokalee community. Seminole Casino Immokalee will make a second donation to the Guadalupe Center when it hosts a charity slot tournament Sunday, Dec. 20, from 1 to 7 p.m. This tournament will give players the chance to win big, while supporting a worthy cause. For a nominal fee of $10, players will have the opportunity to participate in slot tournaments throughout the day and attempt to beat out their opponents to accumulate the highest score. At the end of the evening, the four highest scoring players will win the prize pool. The Guadalupe Center will receive $5 per entry fee, with the remaining $5 being contributed to the prize pool. The mission of the Guadalupe Center is to break the cycle of poverty by providing educational, social, and other support programs and resources. The center's programs provide nearly 1,100 children in Immokalee with the hope of a prosperous and productive life. Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee's holiday spirit extended overseas when the casino dropped off 700 personalized holiday cards to 92.5 Fox News' "10,000 for the Troops" Christmas card event. |
