Roots & Boots tour brings country talent to IP Casino27 May 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- The “Roots & Boots” Tour will bring a variety of country singers including Sammy Kershaw, Pam Tillis, Aaron Tippin and Collin Raye to Studio A at IP Casino Resort and Spa on Saturday, June 18. With his pure country sound, Kershaw has produced more than 25 top-40 singles on the country music charts, including the #1 hit “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful.” He later found success with the top-10 hits “Cadillac Style,” “Anywhere But Here,” “Haunted Heart,” “I Can’t Reach Her Anymore,” “Meant to Be,” “Love of My Life” and more. Tillis has enjoyed a highly successful career since releasing her first album in 1990. Tillis, whose accolades include a string of Gold and Platinum albums, has paved the way for a new breed of female vocalists since bursting onto the scene more than 25 years ago. She has racked up six #1 singles and 17 top-10 hits, including “Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life),” “Don’t Tell Me What To Do,” “Maybe It Was Memphis” and “All The Good Ones Are Gone.” Tillis won a Grammy Award and two CMA Awards in 1994, including Female Vocalist of the Year. Throughout his 25-year career, Tippin has recorded several notable hits, including his debut single, “You’ve Got to Stand for Something,” which reached #6 on the charts. After the success of his first single, Tippin recorded hit after hit, including “There Ain’t Nothin’ Wrong With the Radio,” “My Blue Angel” and “Workin’ Man’s Ph.D.” His 1995 smash hit “That’s as Close as I’ll Get to Loving You” showcased a more dramatic side to his work. Ten-time Male Vocalist of the Year nominee Raye was one of country music’s biggest hit makers during the 1990’s, with many soulful and heartfelt hits. Raye’s smooth delivery can be heard in the ballads “Love, Me,” “In This Life,” “Not That Different” and “If I Were You.” Raye also found success with his rock-sounding style as heard on the hits, “My Kind of Girl,” “That’s My Story,” “I Can Still Feel You” and “I Want You Bad.” Showtime is 8 p.m. Doors open one hour prior to the show. Tickets start at $35 plus tax and convenience fees. Tickets are available online at the IP Casino Resort and Spa and Ticketmaster websites. Advance purchase tickets must be picked up at the Box Office the day of the show starting at 1 p.m. Guests must be 21 or older to attend the show. No refunds or exchanges will be permitted. |
